One Tree Hill, Life Unexpected Renewed by CW

The CW has renewed One Tree Hill and Life Unexpected for another season, even though both shows have had less than stellar ratings. The network has also ordered two new series for its fall network, the action-themed remake show Nikita and Hellcats, some crappy show about cheerleaders. Melrose Place, as expected, was cancelled – thank whatever deity you personally prefer.

While we really couldn’t care less about One Tree Hill or Life Unexpected getting renewed or Melrose Place getting cut, we are kind of interested in seeing what The CW will do with the television remake of the classic film La Femme Nikita.

The movie was so iconic and so amazing; we think it’s going to be pretty hard to do it justice in a TV series – especially on a fluff network like The CW. We are somewhat heartened by the casting of the lead actress, Maggie Q. At least she does have the requisite action experience.

As for Hellcats, the cheerleader series with Disney’s Ashley Tisdale and Aly Michalka, let’s just say our TiVo will be otherwise occupied when that show is on.
