Padma Lakshmi Baby Father Revealed?

Top Chef host Padma Lakshmi announced she was pregnant with a “miracle” baby at the end of 2009, but refused to reveal the father of the child. Most assumed the baby daddy was Lakshmi’s alleged boyfriend, IMB executive Teddy Forstmann. Turns out the father of Lakshmi’s baby may actually be Adam Dell, brother to billionaire Dell computer guru Michael Dell.

According to a report from the New York Daily News, the father of Padma Lakshmi’s baby is venture capitalist and Columbia Business School professor Adam Dell. 40-year-old Dell is the younger brother of computer mogul Michael Dell.

Reps for Padma Lakshmi say the Top Chef host has no interest in commenting on the subject. “She has no interest in sharing with the public the identity of the father. She asks that people respect her privacy,” Lakshmi’s publicist told the NY Daily News.

Seems like gorgeous Padma Lakshmi might just have a fetish for those nerdy type guys. Good for her, we’re kind of sick of all those hot Hollywood ladies choosing brawn over brains!

‘Top Chef’ Host Padma Lakshmi Pregnant with Miracle Baby

Gorgeous Top Chef host Padma Lakshmi is pregnant with her first child, her rep confirmed in a press statement on Wednesday. Lakshmi suffers from endometriosis and has allegedly struggled for years to conceive.

“Model, author, and Emmy-nominated Padma Lakshmi confirms that she is carrying her first child after years of struggling with endometriosis, a cause for which she has co-founded the Endometriosis Foundation of America,” the Top Chef host’s rep told Us Weekly.

Endometriosis can be a serious medical condition which causes the lining of the uterus to grow in other parts of the body. Endometriosis can also cause infertility and severe pain.

“As a result of her condition, this pregnancy has been referred to by her physician as nothing short of a medical miracle, and due to its delicate nature, we ask/implore the press to respect Ms. Lakshmi’s privacy at this time,” Lakshmi’s rep said.

Padma Lakshmi has not revealed who is the father of the baby. Lakshmi was formerly married for three years to author Salman Rushdie, but split with him in 2007.
