Paula Abdul’s next project brings fame to your living room

If you were wondering what Paula Abdul was up to after leaving American Idol (I know you’ve been losing sleep over it), it turns out she’s been preparing a new talent scouting website called AuditionBooth.  In the old days, if you wanted to make it big in show business your best bet was to move to New York or Los Angeles (depending on what you wanted to be famous for), but now with the internet those days are passing quickly.

With AuditionBooth, you can upload audition videos of yourself, and if you’re good enough at whatever it is you do, you might find yourself contacted by a big-shot Hollywood casting director or a record producer.  Of course there are other sites similar to AuditionBooth out there, but the difference with this one is that Paula Abdul actually has the connections to make real things happen for the right people.

Nigel Lythgoe Returns to American Idol: Wants Paula Abdul Back Too

Former executive producer Nigel Lythgoe has confirmed he will be returning to American Idol for the show’s upcoming 10th season. Lythgoe, executive producer and judge on So You Think You Can Dance, would also like to see former judge Paula Abdul return to the show.

“I still love Paula,” Nigel Lythgoe told Daily Variety. Paula Abdul is currently working on her own new dancing show on CBS, but Lythgoe would dearly like to get her back on American Idol too. “She’s signed to CBS, probably exclusively, but I’d recommend we have her in a heartbeat.”

Ellen DeGeneres recently announced she would not be returning to American Idol and rumor has it songwriter Kara DioGuardi might be out as well. Simon Cowell, of course, is already long out the door. Only Randy Jackson will remain to represent the original judging cast. We’d personally love to see Abdul back at the American Idol judges table too.

Aerosmith singer Steven Tyler and diva Jennifer Lopez are rumored to be working on deals with FOX to possibly come on board as American Idol judges. So far Lythgoe and FOX are keeping quiet about the rumors.

Dancing with the Stars Offers Paula Abdul Million Dollar Deal

ABC is reportedly ready to offer ex-American Idol judge Paula Abdul a million dollar deal if she’ll sign on as a judge for Dancing with the Stars. The network has even allegedly offered to work the gig around Simon Cowell‘s new X Factor show if she plans on judging on that as well.

ABC has supposedly reached out with a million dollar development deal to Paula Abdul, but to get the money, she’d have to agree to appear on Dancing with the Stars. The proposed deal would also allow Abdul to appear on Simon Cowell’s new U.S. version of The X Factor. Rumor has it the two have been in talks to have Abdul join the show as a judge.

If Paula Abdul is finally ready to step back into the limelight as a DWTS judge, she’ll have to move quickly. The new season of the show is set to debut in March. Personally, we’d love to see Paul Abdul on DWTS. Whether you’re a fan of her music or not, there is no doubt that the girl can move it!

Posh Victoria Beckham to Guest Judge on American Idol

Paula Abdul‘s seat is still warm after quitting the show earlier this week, but American Idol execs are already scouting for guest judges to fill in for the newly departed icon. First up, former Spice Girl “Posh” Victoria Beckham.

The wife of superstar soccer god David Beckham will reportedly earn over $200,000 for a one-time guest judge appearance on American Idol’s 9th season.

Meanwhile, Paula Abdul said on Wednesday that she is already missing her co-judges on Idol and told TMZ.com jokingly that she’s sure Simon Cowell “misses me already” too.

As for that offer from former American Idol executive producer Nigel Lythgoe to guest judge on So You Think You Can Dance, Paula isn’t sure what she’ll be doing next. “It’s been overwhelming what’s going on right now, so I have to really carefully think about everything.”

Is Paula Abdul Ditching American Idol?!

Shocking reports today that lovable American Idol judge Paula Abdul may not return to the show for next season. Is there a catfight going on between Paula and newbie judge Kara Dioguardi?? The L.A. Times reports that David Sonenberg, Abdul’s manager, told them this about Paula’s contract negotiations.

Sonenberg said American Idol production companies FremantleMedia and 19 Entertainment haven’t presented him with a proposed contract yet. He says the “rude producers” are behind this shizz.

“I find it under these circumstances particularly unusual; I think unnecessarily hurtful,” Sonenberg said of the contract holdup. “I find it kind of unconscionable and certainly rude and disrespectful that they haven’t stepped up and said what they want to do.”

Don’t fire Paula!! The show won’t be the same without her unicorns and rainbows! Who will slur their words and be more entertaining than the contestants??? 19E, you’re making a BIG mistake.
