Protests Over Sexiest Man Alive

Well, we weren’t entirely thrilled with Bradley Cooper’s selection as People magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive, but we wouldn’t take to the streets over it. Some people, however, see it differently. About 15 people wearing Ryan Gosling masks showed up in the rain outside People headquarters in Manhattan to support the candidate they think should have won this very important title.

Then there were the virtual supporters – fans set up an entire Facebook page devoted to Ryan Gosling’s deservedness of the Sexiest Man Alive title. It seems they may have overlooked the fact that – although he didn’t take the top title – Gosling was among the top 125 featured in the magazine that hits newsstands today.

People, on the other hand, says the stand by their man:  “Bradley Cooper is the whole package. He’s gorgeous, talented, brainy, loves his mom, can cook up a storm and speaks fluent French! Who can argue with that?”

Ok, they sold us.

Bradley Cooper is the Sexiest Man Alive

At least, according to People magazine. Daniel Cooper – the star of The Hangover II – was named by the magazine as the sexiest man alive. He joins the ranks of Brad Pitt and George Clooney. And to that we say … really? Not that Cooper isn’t good looking – he’s a successful star in Hollywood, how could he not be?! – but he’s going to be listed alongside people like Johnny Depp, and we kind of don’t think they’re in the same category.

Of course there’s also that unquantifiable je ne sais quoi that Cooper definitely has – on-screen he’s charming yet quirky, lovable yet macho. He’s been linked to Jennifer Lopez and starred in big blockbuster movies so it’s not like he doesn’t have street cred. We’re just not sure if he’s Sexiest Man Alive material.

Spencer Pratt drinks a truth serum

Eleven and a half people and Heidi Montag were treated to the humblest of apologies on Twitter yesterday, when Spencer Pratt finally stated the completely obvious: “I need to apologize to Heidi and my 11.5 fans. I’m an epic douche – and you deserve better.” Pratt, who has stalked, ranted at, and even threatened his soon-to-be ex-wife Heidi Montag, has apparently decided to become a model of good behavior from this day forward, as he later linked to a recent interview in People where he did some more apologizing, and then some more apologizing on top of that.

Just for good measure, Pratt then asked his twitter followers to please retweet his apology, spreading news of his douchiness across the earth. Because the earth didn’t know this before.

Kidnap Victim Jaycee Dugard People Magazine Photo Revealed

Jaycee Dugard, who spent 18 years in captivity, is finally speaking out about her ordeal in the pages of People Magazine. The mag, which hits newstands on Friday, also features the first adult photo of Jaycee Dugard released since she was found.

“I am so happy to be back with my family, nothing is more important than the unconditional love and support I have from them,” kidnap survivor Jaycee Dugard tells People.

Jaycee Dugard was allegedly kidnapped at the age of 11 by sex offender Phillip Garrido. Dugard was held captive by Garrido for 18 years in the backyard of his home in California and gave birth to two children fathered by her kidnapper – Angel, 15 and Starlit, 11.

People Magazine Wins Bid For Brangelina Twins First Pics

People magazine has reportedly coughed up the winning bid for the first pictures of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s twins – Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline. The winning bid is rumored to be between $10 million and $15 million. (If the mag is to be believed…there’s been a bit of speculation about inflated numbers being touted on these baby deals. We’ll probably never know the truth!) The pictures will be featured in a future People magazine issue, and Brad and Angelina have said the funds will go for charity.
