Investigations into last month’s murder of beloved Hollywood publicist Ronni Chase led police to want to question a man that they felt was of interest to the case, but now that man has died by his own hand. Â Officers approached the man in the lobby of his residence, the Harvey Apartments in Beverly Hills, but as they got close to him he pulled out a gun and shot himself.
Police have not said what this means for the case, only that the murder investigation is still ongoing, so clearly they are not automatically taking the suicide as an admission of guilt. Â Analysts have said that the gunman who shot Chase was an expert marksman, probably a professional hitman, so it remains to be seen whether this now-dead suspect fit that description.
