Actor Randy Quaid and his wife Evi were arrested in Montecito, California after they allegedly broke into their old house and were continuing to live there despite having sold the property in 2007. The new owner discovered the couple living in his guest house and called the police, who arrested the Quaids and removed them from the premises. After the arrest it was discovered that there had been some significant damage to the contents of the guest house, and allegedly the Quaids had also vandalized the property repeatedly. It’s kind of sad to hear of a once-successful actor sinking to these depths, but for anyone who’s seen the Vacation movies the Cousin Eddie parallels are staggering.

Actor Randy Quaid and wife Evi Quaid were arrested on Thursday for allegedly stiffing a hotel in California for over $10,000. However, Quaid and his wife don’t seem to be taking the charges very seriously, if their police mug shots are any indication.
In the Randy Quaid mug shot released by the Presidio County Sheriff’s Department, the actor appears to be ‘mugging’ it up for the camera. Quaid poses for a sideways view with his jacket casually slung over his shoulder and a big grin on his face. Wife Evi Quaid, meanwhile, looks into the camera for her mug shot like she’s a supermodel posting for a fashion spread, with a quirky almost smile hinting on her lips.
The couple was arrested on Thursday in Texas after allegedly failing to pay a $10,000 bill at the San Ysidro Ranch hotel in Santa Barbara, CA. As a slam back against the charges, Randy Quaid and his wife sent a copy of their police statement to TMZ.com claiming they had indeed paid their bill and included a copy of a $5,546.96 cashier’s check to the hotel.

Actor Randy Quaid and his wife Evi were arrested on Thursday after allegedly failing to pay a $10,000 hotel bill in California. The couple has been charged with burglary, defrauding an innkeeper and conspiracy.
Randy Quaid and his wife allegedly stiffed a swanky hotel in Santa Barbara, CA for more than $10,000. The couple was arrested in Marga, TX on Thursday afternoon, according to the Presidio County Sheriff’s Department.
Quaid and his wife were arrested on a warrant from the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Department.
According to authorities, Evi Quaid actually put up something of a struggle during the arrest, but was “quickly restrained.” Randy Quaid may have also struggled with officers during the arrest, though reports of the incident are sketchy at this point.
The couple is reportedly being held in custody awaiting arrainment on the theft charges.
