People across the planet know her as the “Friday” singer, but teenager Rebecca Black wants to leave that all behind and start a serious recording career. Â Her video for “Friday” has had more than 120 million YouTube views, most of which were people who loaded the page simply for the opportunity to give the song a “thumbs-down.”
But despite the fact that people hate her, she can’t sing, and her songwriting team is atrocious, some people besides Black do think she could have a future in the music business. Â In fact, she’s already got a recording contract for a five-song EP to be released later this year. Â So perhaps we’ll get to learn what happened on Saturday after all.
