Hall of Fame inductees announced

The 2011 inductees for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame have been announced, and as usual there were some obvious choices and some surprises as to which stars were overlooked. Bon Jovi, the Beastie Boys, and Donna Summer will all have to wait until next year and try their luck again, but for music legends Neil Diamond, Alice Cooper, Tom Waits, and Dr. John, the wait is over.

Neil Diamond seemed particularly pleased at the announcement, saying that he was glad he got inducted before he died, and Alice Cooper also expressed feeling at being able to relax now and enjoy the accolade.  The ceremony will take place in March, and will also include a musical excellence award for Leon Russell.
