Rolling Stones Guitarist Ronnie Wood Arrested on Assault Charges

Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood was arrested Wednesday night South of London on assault charges. Wood was taken into custody on suspicion of assault related to a “domestic incident.”

Police in Claygate, Surrey arrested 62-year-old Ronnie Wood on suspected assault, but provided no further details on the incident. Wood’s spokesman confirmed the arrest occurred in a press statement. “I can confirm that there was an incident last night and that Ronnie Wood was arrested… We have no further statement at this time,” the rep said.

Wood was released on bail on Thursday after questioning regarding the incident. Wood was divorced from his wife of 24 years last month after admitting to adultery. The other woman in the affair was not named in the divorce suit.
