Rosie O’Donnell Daytime TV Comeback?

Former talk show diva Rosie O’Donnell may be planning to return to daytime TV as early as fall 2011, according to media reports. O’Donnell’s return to TV could possibly coincide with the exit of daytime talk show host Oprah Winfrey from network TV.

Rosie O’Donnell has reportedly entered into a partnership with two former Warner Bros. executives and allegedly hopes to syndicate a new talk show late next year. O’Donnell has been hinting at a return to TV on her Sirius radio show over the past few weeks.

While we think it would be kind of interesting to say Rosie O’Donnell back on the air – just to see what kind of chaos ensued – we’re just not sure if it would be a successful move. Ellen DeGeneres has already taken the reins as Oprah’s successor and we don’t really need two lesbians battling it out for daytime TV ratings (especially since Ellen would win hands down). O’Donnell is also unlikely to end up back on network daytime TV considering her recent history with running off at the mouth. More than likely cable would be her destination and that’s going to make it harder to garner viewers.

Plus, Rosie O’Donnell has hopped aboard the crazy train with her totally nutball blog ranting and raving too many times since she left TV and came out. She’s definitely shown she’s got some freak not far below the surface and we’re a bit afraid of what might come out of her mouth. Unless someone can keep a very tight hold on O’Donnell’s verbal diarrhea, a new talk show could sadly prove more embarrassing for her than anything else.

A spokesperson for Rosie O’Donnell declined to comment on the rumor.

Who is Rosie O’Donnell’s New Girlfriend?

Does former talk show diva Rosie O’Donnell have a new girlfriend in tow now that she’s moved on from her break-up with Kelli Carpenter? Looks like the answer is a very probable yes.

According to hints dropped by O’Donnell on her blog, Rosie’s new girl is reportedly a Texas artist named Tracy Kachtick-Anders – and she has six kids! The two were spotted jet-skiing in Miami a while back, but O’Donnell said the lady in question was “just a friend” at the time.

In responses to comments on her blog’s Ask Ro section, O’Donnell recently dropped big hints that she and Kachtick-Anders have now become quite a bit more than friends. O’Donnell writes that she is “happy” with her new gal pal and confirmed to one reader that her new ‘lady friend’ is the girl “on the jet ski in Miami.” She has also posted photos of Tracy Kachtick-Anders and her children on her blog.

So who is this mysterious new love in O’Donnell’s life? Well, apparently Kachtick-Anders is an artist, writer and children’s advocate who created a non-profit volunteer organization called the Open Arms Campaign “dedicated to the recruitment of foster and adoptive homes” for needy children. Five of her own six children are adopted and she has been a foster parent to several more. Kachtick-Anders is also a contributor to TheRainbowBabies.com website, where she talks about her fostering experience.

Since Rosie O’Donnell loves writing, art and kids galore, it sounds like she may have just found a match made in heaven!

Rosie O’Donnell Admits Marriage to Kelli Carpenter on the Rocks

Former talk show diva Rosie O’Donnell has confirmed she and wife Kelli Carpenter are having serious marriage troubles. Rumors the two have broken up have been floating around for a while, but this is the first time O’Donnell has publicly confirmed her marriage to Carpenter is on the rocks.

Although Rosie O’Donnell would not confirm Kelli Carpenter has moved out of the couple’s New York home, she did tell USA Today they are “working on our issues.”

“We’re a family. We will remain a family forever,” O’Donnell said. The former View hostess said her and Kelli’s four children remain the couple’s top priority, saying “everything’s fine and everybody’s good and we’re still both raising them together.”

“Kelli and I love each other very much and we are working on our issues,” O’Donnell stated. “Those are the only words I am ever going to say. Ever. And that is something that has been agreed up on by all parties.”

Rosie O’Donnell and Kelli Carpenter were among the first couples to get hitched when same-sex marriages were briefly legalized in San Francisco in February, 2004. The couple have four children together, from ages 6 to 14. Three of the children are adopted, daughter Vivienne was conceived by Carpenter via artificial insemination.

O’Donnell recently said on her blog that marriage is “very very very hard.” So, unfortunately, are divorces – and we wish both Rosie and Kelli well in resolving their issues amicably.
