Of course, only giving reporters a hard copy of the Sarah Palin emails makes it a lot more difficult for them to search the documents for interesting tidbits. Several media organizations have enlisted the help of regular citizens to pitch in and review the emails or assist in translating them to electronic form. Can you imagine having to go through 24,000 pages of photocopied emails? Ouch!

Although it sounds like a ton of possibly juicy source material for greedy journalists, we’re betting that in the end there won’t be anything that extremely provocative to be found in Sarah Palin’s emails. The state of Alaska redacted quite a few emails and simply refused to release others. The list of what the state of Alaska did not feel the public had the right to see was 189 pages long all by itself!

Sarah Palin emails judged not fit for public consumption include ‘privacy’ protected communications under the Alaska Constitution, attorney-client protected discussions about such issues as “legal advice on petroleum profits tax” and ‘executive/deliberative process’ emails an email about “re. potential cuts to governor’s staff” for example. Quite a few of these emails included her husband, Todd Palin, and/or attorney as one of the people in the loop.

Palin’s attorneys reportedly were allowed to review all all the emails before they were released, although they allegedly did not ask for anything additional to be redacted or withheld.

In addition, the state did not release emails from Sarah Palin’s term as governor from September 2008 until she suddenly resigned her position in the summer of 2009. The state claims it has not finished reviewing those emails and has not said when they might be released. Palin was also known to use private email accounts during her term as governor. Palin allegedly “gave the state a CD with emails from her Yahoo account” but it is unclear how much of those emails will ever make their way to the public.

Sarah Palin told Fox News that she has no problem with the mass email release because her term in office has been gone over in detail already. However, she did hedge a bit by saying “a lot of those emails obviously weren’t meant for public consumption” and some statements in them could be taken out of context.

Fey says (obviously half-joking) that the show’s ratings have always been pretty low, and that any growth it might have received over time was very likely tempered by the anger of those who resented her for exploiting the Palin family.  Fey also said in a recent interview that she’s looking forward to Julianne Moore’s portrayal of Palin for HBO, and she offered Moore her Palin wig for the part.

Rivers took to Twitter to voice her frustration over the cancelation, and to say that she most certainly doesn’t think the timing of the “accident” was coincidence.  Fox still maintains that they were always planning on rescheduling Rivers, but they could say anything at this point just to try to cover themselves

TLC is making the excuse that the series was never meant to be continuing, that it was more like an extended miniseries of sorts, but the rumor is that Palin herself has called an end to it because she believes she has a chance at becoming president in 2012.  Go on, try to read that out loud with a straight face.

Kate Middleton made the list, simply for saying yes to a wedding proposal after eight years of stalling.  Yes, fascinating.  Sarah Palin made the list, too, but perhaps it could be argued that she’s fascinating in the same way that a train wreck is.  Jennifer Lopez is also included – seriously?  And of course, there’s Bieber and the cast of Jersey Shore, just to round out the  bewildering choices.  The only person on the list remotely interesting is Betty White, and I might tune in to the Barbara Walters special just to see what White has to say.

Sarah Palin, of course, denies meddling in any DWTS affairs, but as people get angrier and angrier at Bristol Palin’s continued presence on the show, things are coming to the breaking point.  One Wisconsin man already lost his mind with rage over Bristol Palin’s lack of talent, and destroyed his television with a shotgun after watching this week’s show.

The rumors about Palin undergoing breast surgery sparked up after she was photographed wearing a tight, scoop-neck t-shirt that showed off her very perky assets.

In an interview with Fox News host Greta Van Susteren, former Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin said she absolutely had “not had implants” in her breasts.

Palin said the rumors about her boobs and attention to her physical appearance makes her “have to waste time figuring out what am I going to wear so that nobody will look at an area that I don’t need them to look at.”

As for those “bored, idle bloggers,” Palin suggests “they need to perhaps grab a shovel, go down to the Gulf, volunteer to help, clean up and save a whale or something.”

Well, we think that’s actually pretty good advice. Why doesn’t Sarah Palin strap on a nice, baggy set of overalls and head on down to the coast herself?

“Our family enjoys Discovery’s networks,” Sarah Palin said in a press statement. “I look forward to working with Mark [Burnett] to bring the wonder and majesty of Alaska to all Americans.” Mark Burnett, who produced the reality shows Survivor and The Apprentice, will helm the new reality show as executive producer.

No air date has yet been set for the series. That’s okay though, because we really don’t give a damn. The only reason we’d tune in is if Sarah Palin plans on showing us exactly where she can see Russia from her house.

Whenever it airs, however, we solemly beg Tina Fey to bring her Sarah Palin impersonation to Saturday Night Live once again. There is just SO much about this whole gig that deserves some delicious mocking by the 30 Rock queen.

The travelogue reality show, tentatively called Sarah Palin’s Alaska, has supposedly been purchased by Discovery Communications, according to a report in Variety. Palin allegedly met with a slew of networks while shopping around the series, including ABC, CBS and NBC. When none of them took the bait, Palin reportedly turned to the cable networks for a buyer. Bidding finally came down to A&E versus Discovery, with A&E eventually bowing out.

Sarah Palin’s Alaska will reportedly focus on the people, traditions, and natural wonders of the former governor turned Fox News analyst’s home state. No official announcement about a purchase of the series has come out so far from Discovery.

Here’s the thing. Sarah Palin pretty much bailed on the whole state of Alaska when she famously decided to quit her job as governor. Regardless of your political affiliations, does she really deserve to be given a job representing the ‘people and traditions’ of the state she abandoned mid-term?

Let’s not forget this is also the woman who is known for enjoying shooting and eating the wildlife of Alaska, not for wanting to preserve them and celebrate their natural glory. Come on, this is the lady who grinned during a Thanksgiving interview bit while turkeys were being slaughtered bloodily over her shoulder – and she’s going to host a “nature” series? Somebody stop the madness, please!
