It seems like all is forgiven for Kanye West devoting most of his career to being a douche, and now everyone’s just focusing on his new album, which apparently is coming out on November 22. Â Kanye’s being quite secretive about certain details (like the title of the album), and it seems like he’s being his usual, er, “confident” self when it comes to talking about his music. Â On Kanye’s Twitter, he referred to his recent Saturday Night Live performance as “performance art,” and is already talking about being back on the top of the charts. Â Judging by the reactions to the leaked tracks from the album, though, he probably knows what he’s talking about, as the songs have been getting rave advance reviews, and no doubt Kanye West will soon be the center of the music world’s attention again, which is exactly what he craves.

Alec Baldwin will be hosting the Saturday Night Live finale later this month! This is almost too fun to be true, but it seems the 30 Rock star will be returning to SNL to host the show’s last episode of the season.
First we finally get Betty White to host Saturday Night Live on May 8th thanks to all her adoring fans blasting away on the Internet to get her the gig. Now we get Alec Baldwin as the host of SNL‘s finale just a week later on May 15th. What a way to end the season!
NBC hasn’t officially confirmed that Baldwin will be hosting the finale, but the 30 Rock star apparently let the news slip at the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner over the weekend.

When Saturday Night Live returns for a new season, it will be without cast members Casey Wilson and Michaela Watkins. Lorne Michaels, creator of SNL, announced Friday the two women had been fired from the show. Michaela Watkins says she is shocked by her sudden elimination from the SNL cast.
“It just felt premature,” Michael Watkins said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. “But on some level I feel like there are so many opportunities and things that I want to do in the future and now they’ll just happen sooner rather than later.”
Watkins and Wilson joined the SNL cast in 2008. Some of Watkins’ most popular characters on the show were her portrayals of Arianna Huffington, Today Show host Hoda Kotb and Angie Tempura of bitchpleeze.com. Wilson never truly seemed to find her niche on the show and few of her characters were particularly notable.
Michaela Watkins and Casey Wilson will be replaced by Columbia University graduate Jenny Slate and Iranian native Nasim Pedrad. The new season of Saturday Night Live premiers Sept. 26.
John “Jack” Murtha stuck his foot in it when he called the people in Western Pennsylvania “racists”. Lets see if he does any better on Saturday Night Live?!
Amy Poehler’s had a HARD day today…she’s been in labor. Like, all day. So…Amy won’t be doing any Palin Raps or Weekend Updates tonight. Poor Seth Myers is gonna have to anchor all by himself. That baby KNEW it was Saturday and was all “Oh NOOOOES!!!” Congratulations to Amy and hubby “Arrested Development’s” Will Arnett on the new baby boy Archie! 8 lbs, 1 ounce. Somebody give Amy a donut…pillow.
Remember, it was only ONE WEEK AGO when Amy did THIS!
Also, Snarkista just checked, and yes, she STILL wants Coldplay to come over and play. Very much.
Will Ferrell made a President Bush cameo on SNL last night for “Update Thursday”, and he gave John McCain and Sarah Palin his endorsement! John tried to get away, to no avail. Tina Fey as Sarah had to straighten the President out about the role of the VP!
