Casino Employee Andrea McNulty Sues Ben Roethlisberger for Sexual Assault

Harrah’s Casino employee Andrea McNulty is suing Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger for sexual assault stemming from an incident in July, 2008 during a celebrity golf tournament. According to, Andrea McNulty claims Roethlisberger called her to his hotel room to fix his television and then sexually assaulted her.

Roethlisberger ‘s lawyer, David Cornwell, issued a statement to the press Monday strongly denying the accusations. “Ben has never sexually assaulted anyone; especially Andrea McNulty,” Cornwell said. Does anyone else find it odd that Roethlisberger especially did not assault McNulty? Strange turn of phrase there, Mr. Cornwell.

Andrea McNulty has filed a civil lawsuit alleging a list of charges against Ben Roethlisberger, including: assault, sexual assault and battery, false imprisonment, fraud and intentional infliction of emotional distress. However, no criminal charges have been made against the Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback.

“The timing of the lawsuit and the absence of a criminal complaint and a criminal investigation are the most compelling evidence of the absence of any criminal conduct,” Cornwell said, according to  “If an investigation is commenced, Ben will cooperate fully and Ben will be fully exonerated.”

Unidentified sources reported by say that McNulty did have sexual relations with Roethlisberger – but that the relationship was purely consensual.
