FunnyorDie.com has a new video out there featuring a Saturday Night Live presidents reunion of SNL stars and alumni and it’s well worth a watch. Funny or Die’s Presidential Reunion video is just the latest in a series of politically themed comedy videos from the website to go viral across the Net.
Normally we try to steer away from political parodies because, let’s face it, they are generally either terribly boring or painfully bad. In the case of FunnyorDie.com videos, however, we often make an exception – these people are damn funny! Although we still don’t think they’ve topped the Paris Hilton running for president video yet, the SNL presidents reunion video is highly entertaining.
Funny or Die’s Presidential Reunion video features a host of SNL stars from over the years portraying past and current presidents: Fred Armisen as Barack Obama, Maya Rudolph as Michelle Obama, Dana Carvey as George H. W. Bush, Will Ferrell as George W. Bush, Darrell Hammond as Bill Clinton, Jim Carey as Ronald Reagan, Dan Aykroyd as Jimmy Carter and Chevy Chase as Gerald Ford. FunnyorDie.com’s Jake Szymanski and the fabulous Ron Howard directed the video.
The video was sponsored by The Main Street Brigade, an organization devoted to creating a financial protection agency for consumers. But if you’re not in support of such an idea, it doesn’t really matter; the video is a treat to the funny bone anyway.
