Solange Magnano died following severe complications after receiving a gluteoplasty on Thursday. Magnano returned home after surgery to recuperate. The former beauty queen was rushed to the hospital on Sunday after she began to have difficulty breathing.

Magnano reportedly died on Sunday of a pulmonary embolism after material injected into her buttocks “went to her lungs and brain,” according to fashion designer and friend Roberto Piazza. “A woman who had everything lost her life to have a slightly firmer behind,” Piazza said.

Police have launched an investigation into Magnano’s death. The former Miss Argentina was laid to rest on Monday.
