Cincinatti Bengals NFL star Chad Ochocinco is “at peace” with being eliminated from Dancing With the Stars last night. Ochocinco and partner Cheryl Burke were not suprised they were the pair chosen to go home on Tuesday’s DWTS results show.
“We kind of knew we were going home tonight,” Cheryl Burke told People after the show. “Our scores were so much lower [than the other contestants] so we felt it was going to happen.”
Ochocinco and Burke received their highest marks yet from the judges Monday night, but still scored lower than the rest of the Dancing With the Stars pairs.
“That’s why I am at peace right now,” Chad Ochocinco said. ““We had a great night last night and that’s the way to end it. That’s the way to go out. It would have been nice if we could have danced like that every week.â€
Ochocinco earned the dubious distinction of becoming the 100th celebrity to be eliminated from Dancing With the Stars. Ochocinco will be headed back to his day job on the football field, but he won’t be giving up his secondary career as a reality TV star. He’ll next be starring on the VH1 reality dating show The Tournament.
