Jon Gosselin on 'Jon & Kate Plus 8' - TLC

TLC has filed a breach-of-contract lawsuit against Jon Gosselin in Maryland this week, accusing the former Jon & Kate Plus 8 star of multiple contract violations. TLC alleges Jon Gosselin made paid and unpaid TV appearances without the prior approval of the network. The network is also accusing him of harming the show “with his constant criticisms” about the series.

“The network has been trying privately and patiently for months to get Jon to honor the contract he signed and to comply with his obligations relating to public appearances and statements,” a representative for TLC said in a press statement. “Those efforts have been unsuccessful.” TLC is reportedly seeking to force Jon Gosselin to abide by the terms of his contract and to return any money earned from making unapproved television appearances.

Jon Gosselin’s attorney, Mark Heller, told People on Friday he had not yet seen any legal documents from TLC. “I can’t comment on something I haven’t seen. Jon hasn’t been served yet, either,” he said.   

Kate Gosselin, meanwhile, may be slapping her soon-to-be ex-husband with even more legal tangles soon. Gosselin said in a statement Thursday she is “disturbed” by statements from former babysitter (and alleged Jon Gosselin lover) Stephanie Santoro saying Jon Gosselin admitted to taking money from Kate and has been hacking her e-mails, bank accounts and phone records.

“Ms. Gosselin is carefully considering all of her legal options regarding this matter, and she will pursue them if and when the time is right,” Kate Gosselin’s attorney said in a press statement.

According to the New York Daily News, unidentified sources witnessed Kate Gosselin arguing with Jon Gosselin at the family home on Thursday night. Kate Gosselin was reportedly enraged over Jon Gosselin’s alleged affair with one of their children’s babysitters, 23-year-old cocktail waitress Stephanie Santoro, whom Jon hired.

One witness to the debacle, according to EOnline.com, said Jon Gosselin would not allow Kate Gosselin into the house.

At some point during all the drama, someone called the police. TMZ.com reports a source saying it was Kate Gosselin who brought in the cops. Eventually Kate Gosselin vacated the property and shacked up at the local Days Inn.

Classy. We’re betting their eight children were just loving hearing mommy and daddy scream about their sex lives outside their windows. Looking a bit doubtful Regis’ wet dream about the two getting back together is going to happen any time soon.

Questioned by Meredith Viera about her feelings regarding Jon Gosselin’s alleged girlfriends, Kate Gosselin said, “I was shocked… It is hurtful. It’s very hurtful. To be very honest, the most hurtful part is when his decisions directly affect our children.” Since seperating from Kate Gosselin, Jon Gosselin has been romantically linked to friend Hailey Glassman, Star reporter Kate Major and even one of his eight children’s babysitters, Stephanie Santoro.

In the Today Show interview, Kate Gosselin admitted she still wears her wedding ring, but said it is because she does not want to upset her children by taking it off too soon. Fighting tears throughout the interview, Kate Gosselin denied she was the one responsible for the initial breakup of her marriage, denying statements from Jon Gosselin saying otherwise. When asked if she still loves her soon-to-be ex, Kate Gosselin said simply, “When I think back to the Jon that I knew, yes, suffice it to say.”
