It’s hard to tell whether Steven Tyler is trying to show off or whether he’s honestly trying to help others by example, but recently he has been telling interviewers that he spent an estimated $20 million on drugs over the course of his decades-long career.
He says his addiction left him with almost nothing, having sold a Porsche, a plane, and his home in order to pay for his cocaine habit. Â Tyler has been in rehab eight times, and has only vowed to make it work this time because his son pleaded with him. Â Also, Tyler says that being a judge on American Idol has made a difference, as he doesn’t want to embarrass himself on live television.
