Aerosmith Tour on Hold After Steven Tyler Injured Falling Off Stage

Despite some rumors to the contrary, Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler is not dead – just banged up a bit. Tyler fell off a stage at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally earlier this week and suffered injuries to his head, neck and shoulders.

Tyler broke his shoulder and cut up his head and back when he accidently stepped backward off a stage at Sturgis during a performance. Billie Perry, wife of Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry, posted on Twitter that Tyler “hit his head and back” and “is very sore.”

Aerosmith has cancelled one gig in Winnipeg, Canada so far and more tour dates may be cancelled or delayed due to Tyler’s injuries.

New video of Steven Tyler falling off stage has now surfaced on YouTube. Watch it below:

After being examined by a physician at the concert, Tyler was airlifted to Rapid City Regional Hospital. No further information has yet been released about the extent of his injuries. However, the singer’s daughter Mia Tyler posted on her Twitter feed early Thursday morning that she “just got the news that my dad is ok.”

No video of the incident posted on the web so far, but we’re sure it’s only a matter of time.
