According to the lawsuit, Nicollette Sheridan says Marc Cherry physically assaulted her after she questioned him about a plot line in a script for Desperate Housewives. “Cherry took her aside and forcefully hit her with his hand across her face and head,” court documents state. Sheridan also claims Cherry created a hostile working environment on Desperate Housewives from the beginning by “behaving in an extremely abusive and aggressive manner toward the individuals who work on the show.”

Nicollette Sheridan is seeking over $20 million in damages for the alleged abuse and wrongful termination from Desperate Housewives. Sheridan claims in the lawsuit that she wasn’t the only star of the show to be treated abusively by Marc Cherry. Yet, according to her, ABC did nothing in response to complaints about his behavior.

Wow. We thought the drama in front of the camera on Desperate Housewives was over the top. Looks like it’s nothing compared to what’s going on behind the scenes!
