Monkees star Davy Jones cause of death was a heart attack, an autopsy report completed on Thursday concluded. Davy Jones died suddenly on Wednesday at the age of 66. While toxicology tests are still pending, there is little suspicion of any contributing drug or alcohol use in the music legend’s death.

Davy Jones was the heart-throb crush for millions of young fans in the 1960s when the Monkees shot to stardom. In addition to their memorable collection of chart-topping hits, such as “I’m a Believer” and “Daydream Believer,” the Monkees also starred in a cult classic television show for two years.

Susan Boyle back on top of the charts

Having simultaneous number one albums in the US and UK twice in one year is something that hasn’t happened in more than four decades, but Susan Boyle has rocked the charts on both sides of the pond yet again with her second album this year, The Gift.

Susan is the first woman ever to achieve this accomplishment, and The Beatles and The Monkees were the only two previous artists to have done so.  Understandably, Susan says she’s thrilled to see her second album doing as well as the first, especially since reality TV singers tend to have incredibly intense and short careers.  To even have a second album is an accomplishment; for it to go number one in two countries at once is absolutely astonishing.
