True Blood: Sookie Stackhouse is a What?

Beware if you have not seen the latest episode of True Blood – this post contains SPOILERS!

We are admitted rabid fans of HBO’s hit vampire drama True Blood. We love the mysteries of the show, it’s what really keeps us on the edge of our seats waiting for what crazy thing is going to happen next. One of the biggest mysteries from the show that has plagued fans for ages now is: what the hell is Sookie Stackhouse?

First Sookie (Anna Paquin) was just a simple telepath, so to speak. Then she started doing increasingly weirder things now and then – like blowing white light out of her hands and knocking people across the room. Next, she had a near-death experience with a bunch of glowing, dancing babes and dire warnings about her vampire boyfriend ‘stealing her light’.

Finally, on True Blood last night, we got the answer to the question of what the hell is Sookie Stackhouse. The long-awaited revelation? Sookie Stackhouse is a fairy.

Um, what? We thought Lafayette was the fairy on True Blood… just kidding, we love Lafayette and are happy he found a cute boy toy to play with.

Really though, a fairy? If you’ve read the books, this may not come as a surprise but we’ve been careful not to read ahead of the show and spoil anything. We just can’t help but giggle at the idea of Sookie as a fairy/elf/whatever progeny. As she says on the show, that’s kind of “f**king lame.”

Give us vampires, werewolves, shapeshifters and even maenads – but fairies? True Blood just gets weirder every week and the worst part is that all too soon we’ll have to be waiting until the new season to find out where this latest reveal leads! Arggh!

True Blood Season 3 Premiere is a Delicious Drink of Hotness

We’ve waited so long for the True Blood season 3 premiere and thankfully we were not disappointed in the slightest by the first episode of the new season. The first episode of True Blood season 3, “Bad Blood,” was a rapid-fire frenzy of insanity and nakedness; just what we ordered!

<WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD>

Of course, you just have to love a show that loves to indulge in constant flashing of the assets of its very yummy stars. Last season we saw nearly everyone on the True Blood cast nearly or entirely nude and thrashing around in the throes of passion. Sure, a lot of that was all because of the evil influence of a god-like Maenad Maryann (Michelle Forbes). Still, it was a hell of a lot of fun.

The premiere for season 3 of True Blood continued to gift audiences with plenty of flesh to gawk at – notably the rear ends of Jason (Ryan Kwanten) and Eric (Alexander Skarsgard). Oh, and how tasty was Shapeshifter Sam’s homoerotic dream sequence with Vampire Bill? More please!

Or how about the whole Pam (Kristen Bauer) and Sookie Stackhouse Sapphic thing going on? Best line of the night has to go to Sookie for her saucy dismissal of Pam with the one-liner: “I don’t have time for your lesbian weirdness right now.” LMAO, seriously.

Obviously True blood creator Alan Ball is going for it hard and heavy this season. We can’t wait to see if the rest of the season will be equally as hot and delicious.

Up next on True Blood season 3, episode 2 – “Beautifully Broken”: Sam gets a little too close to brother Tommy after getting a gun held to his head and new vampire Franklin Mott arrives in Bon Temps as a possible love interest for Tara.
