Miley Cyrus Says Everyone Should Leave Twitter

Disney star Miley Cyrus infamously deleted her Twitter account earlier this month and now she thinks everyone else should too. Cyrus claims she dumped Twitter to regain back some of her privacy, although the rumor has it alleged boyfriend Liam Hemsworth wanted her to quit the micro-blogging site – which she denies.

Speaking on Chicago’s B96 morning show this week, Miley Cyrus said she thinks everyone should follow her lead in breaking up with Twitter. “I think that everyone should leave Twitter,” Cyrus said. “I think Twitter should just be banned from this universe.”

Why all the hate against Twitter? Well, apparently people who Tweet are “unhealthy,” or at least that’s what Cyrus thinks. “You need to get out and do stuff and be in the world… All I did was lay in my bed on my computer and sit there and eat ice cream late at night.”

Interesting, considering she only recently told fans on MileyWorld.com that Twitter “was a wonderful way to stay connected to you & I really felt like during that time we became very much like friends. Twitter is a beautiful thing if used for the right reason.”

When Miley Cyrus quit Twitter earlier this week, her legions of fans immediately started a #mileycomeback campaign on Twitter calling for her return. Even dad Billy Ray Cyrus got into the act, begging his daughter to reconsider her exit from Twitter. Alas, @MileyCyrus remains dark.

In response to the cries from her fans for her return, Miley Cyrus launched a YouTube video rap this weekend to explain her decision to delete her Twitter account. Although rumored boyfriend Liam Hemsworth has sort of taken the blame for her departure, Cyrus says the real reason behind her Twitter good-bye is because she wants to keep her private life private.

which she decided to tell her fans very publicly via YouTube. Check out the Miley Cyrus YouTube rap video for yourself below:

Dad Billy Ray Urges Miley Cyrus to Return to Twitter

Millions of Miley Cyrus fans were shocked Wednesday when the Disney star suddenly deleted her Twitter account. Apparently so was dad Billy Ray Cyrus, who is now urging his daughter to return to Twitter on behalf of her fans.

Miley Cyrus vanished from the Twitter world Wednesday after posting a cryptic message saying rumored boyfriend Liam Hemsworth wanted her to delete her Twitter account. “FYI Liam doesn’t have a twttr & he wants ME 2 delete mine w/ gd reason,” Miley Cyrus said in her last post on Twitter.

Shortly afterward a #mileycomeback campaign was launched by Twitter fans begging Cyrus to return to the social networking service. Now dad Billy Ray Cyrus has added his voice to the fans, urging his daughter to return to Twitter for her fans’ sake.

“Miley. You are a light in a world of darkness. You were born ‘Destiny Hope Cyrus’ for a reason. You can’t leave everyone now. We r countin on u,” Billy Ray Cyrus posted on his Twitter feed Thursday evening.

“I understand ‘it is true one bad apple spoils the bunch,'” Billy Ray continued in a later Tweet. “But listen to the words of your songs ‘Stand … for what ya believe in’ … Remember?”

Miley Cyrus Deletes Twitter Account for Boyfriend Liam Hemsworth

Could it be true? Has Miley Cyrus really deleted her Twitter account? Indeed, the rumor does appear to be true. Miley Cyrus has broken up with Twitter. And apparently, it’s all about pleasing her new love, rumored boyfriend Liam Hemsworth.

Miley Cyrus posted on her Twitter feed last night that Hemsworth did not have a Twitter account – and he didn’t think she ought to have one either. In her last post on Twitter, Cyrus wrote: “FYI Liam doesn’t have a twttr & he wants ME 2 delete mine w/ gd reason.” Shortly afterward, @MileyCyrus vanished from Twitter. So did, apparently, her mother, who was listed as @MommyTish.

Looks like Miley Cyrus’ former 2 million or so followers will no longer have the pleasure of listening to her whine about being treated badly by the media or sharing TMI about her personal life in a far too public forum.

Blaming it on your boyfriend is kind of a sad excuse, but it’s probably best for Cyrus to give up the Twitter crack anyway. Now, if she could just give up her cell phone to put a stop to all those naughty half-naked leaked pics on the Internet…
