Atlanta-based filmmaker Tyler Perry is reaching out into the community this holiday season to help a local elderly woman get her home back. Â Just days before Christmas, Rosa Lee Ransby’s house burned to the ground, and she was facing a cold winter without a home. Â Perry stepped forward and rented a house a few doors down from Ransby’s property, furnished the place, and let Ransby move in less than two days after the fire.
As if that weren’t enough, he’s going to pay rent on the property for an entire year while he arranges for a new house to be built on the site of Ransby’s old home. Â Now that’s holiday spirit!
