Were you shocked by who got voted off The Voice 2013 this week? Or did the results turn out exactly like you predicted? We were pretty sure we knew which singers would be the ones who went home on The Voice season 5 this evening, but the voters do love to surprise us! Although we predicted Tessanne Chin, Jacquie Lee, and Will Champlin would make it to the finale, there were no guarantees until the official The Voice results were announced tonight!

No matter who was eliminated on The Voice 2013 this week, it was going to be a bittersweet night. All of the remaining contestants had admirable qualities, great talent, and legions of fans behind them. However, there can only be one The Voice season 5 winner and only three acts could move on to the finale to determine who it would be. Picking Tessanne Chin as one of the final three was probably the easiest prediction for anyone to make after her amazing performances the past few weeks. Figuring out who the other two in the finale would be was a touch more difficult.

We’re down to the Top 5 and anxious to find out who got voted off The Voice 2013 tonight! Which of the five remaining finalists will make the Top 3 for the finale next week? Will it be Tessanne Chin, James Wolpert, Cole Vosbury, or Jacquie Lee who went home on The Voice season 5 this week? Keep on reading for our predictions on The Voice results for the Top 5 elimination tonight!

Last night was a great performance night all around for Tessanne Chin of Team Adam Levine. She pretty much blew away Simon and Garfunkel’s ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water” and left Adam almost speechless. Jacquie Lee of Team Christina Aguilera was also a hit with her rendition of “Angel” by Sarah McLachlan. Honestly, we would be shocked if either of these ladies ended up as one of the singers who was eliminated on The Voice 2013 tonight.

We were a bit sad about who was voted off The Voice 2013 last week because we were rather fond of quirky Caroline Pennell. However, we agreed that neither Caroline or Ray Boudreaux were at the same level as some of the other singers still left in the competition. We were far more worried about The Voice results this week with only six contestants left. One of our favorites could have easily fallen out of favor and been the one who went home on The Voice season 5 tonight!

Although we agree that her performance of “Cry Baby” by Janis Joplin last night was absolutely fabulous, 16-year-old Jacquie Lee isn’t one of our top favorites left on The Voice 2013. Despite that, we were glad she really had nothing to worry about tonight after she killed her performances on Monday night. We were pretty sure that Cole Vosbury, who is probably our third favorite singer, wouldn’t be in any danger either from what we saw out there on social media and fan polls. Our main concern was whether our top two favorites, Tessanne Chin or Will Champlin, might somehow fall into the bottom two in The Voice results tonight.

We are still a bit perturbed by who went home on The Voice 2013 last week, and we’re really hoping we don’t lose any more of our favorites tonight. We know Caroline Pennell didn’t stand any chance of winning, but we liked her quirky style and hated seeing her go home in particular. This week, we’re just hoping we aren’t feeling sad again when The Voice results are announced and we find out who got voted off The Voice season 5 tonight!

After her stellar performance of “Cry Baby” by Janis Joplin last night, we feel pretty confident that pretty 16-year-old Jacquie Lee will be safe tonight with no problem. Will Champlin, one of our personal favorites, also gave a great showing last night with “A Change Is Gonna Come” by Sam Cook. We’re hoping that also put him in the safe zone for this week. Tessanne Chin, who is our current favorite to win, astounded us by managing to actually pull off Bob Marley’s “Redemption Song,” so we’re feeling she’s a shoo in for next week as well.

After last night’s performances, it was obvious which singer would NOT be the one who got voted off The Voice 2013 from the Top 8! After an absolutely stunning performance of “At Last” by Etta James, Will Champlin guaranteed himself a spot in the Top 6 when his song won the iTunes vote multiplier by coming in number eight on the Top 200 singles chart. Figuring out which singers would be the ones who went home on The Voice results show this week was not quite so easy.

There is no question in our mind that Will Champlin from Team Adam Levine was the one who won The Voice 2013 last night in the Top 8 round. If there was any doubt he gave the best performance of the night, all you had to do was check out the downloads of his rendition of “At Last” on iTunes. He was the only singer from the Top 8 who made it into the Top 10 on iTunes with his song, which gave him the much-coveted multiplier on his votes tonight. No way was he going to be the one who was voted off The Voice season 5 tonight!

We love all contestants this season so much we really didn’t even want to know who went home on The Voice 2013 tonight! Sadly, we can’t just pretend that everyone was safe and the show can just go on entertaining us with no eliminations for endless weeks to come. No matter who was eliminated on The Voice tonight, it was going to be tough.

In a big twist this season, The Voice season 5 gave the final fate of the bottom three singers directly to the viewers this time around. After the bottom three in the votes were revealed to the audience, the fans got the chance to save their favorite by tweeting #voicesave and the first name of the singer they did not want to go home. Whichever contestant got the most mentions in the five minutes after the announcement of the bottom three would be safe, even if they had less votes than the other singers. Needless to say, the east coasters dominated the mentions since the show was live for them — a bit unfair we think.
