Willie Nelson may sing for community service

Country music legend Willie Nelson is having a bit of legal trouble in the form of a misdemeanor drugs possession charge, but it looks lie he may sing his way out of jail time with an in-court performance.

Apparently the prosecutor in the case is a Willie Nelson fan himself, and has agreed to reduce the sentence he’s seeking for Nelson to a $100 fine rather than 180 days in jail.  The catch?  Nelson has to sing “Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain” during the court proceedings.  No word yet as to whether the judge overseeing the case will allow such a deal to take place, but it would be awesome if it worked out that way.
