When The Bachelorette Emily Maynard sent gorgeous hunk Sean Lowe home on the last episode, many fans were shocked by the elimination. Well, those who hadn’t read The Bachelorette 2012 spoilers revealing the final two beforehand, of course. The gorgeous insurance agent had a loyal and vocal fan following who really thought they would see Sean Lowe and Emily Maynard end up together in the end. No one, however, was more shocked at the elimination than sexy Sean Lowe himself.
On The Bachelorette 2012 Monday night, quite a few fans were outraged when Emily Maynard decided to keep race car driver Arie Luyendyk Jr. over handsome insurance agent Sean Lowe. Even our The Bachelorette 2012 recap readers here at Snark Food were quite upset over the choice to send Sean packing instead of Arie.
As for Sean Lowe, he was totally devastated by the elimination so soon after finally working up the courage to tell The Bachelorette Emily Maynard those three words he struggled with all season: “I love you.”
“I’m not sure what to say,” Sean Lowe told Emily Maynard after he failed to receive a rose on Monday’s episode of The Bachelorette 2012. “I feel kind of stupid. Only because I knew with certainty that I was ready to spend forever with you.” Tears in his eyes, Sean continued: “I just didn’t see this coming… obviously. I think you should know it’s going to hurt me.”
The choice was obviously a difficult one for The Bachelorette Emily Maynard, as she broke down in tears while Sean said his goodbyes. As sad as the elimination made him, Sean left with gracious parting words. “I’m going to miss you more than you know. I care about you, ultimately, and if this is the best for you, than you have to do what’s best for you.”
Emily Maynard struggled through tears to tell Sean she wanted to know how hard her choice was. “I want you to know, I wanted it to be you, so bad. So, so bad … I’m really going to miss you and I have loved every minute I’ve had with you.”
In an interview with People, Sean Lowe said he had every intention of popping the question to The Bachelorette Emily Maynard. “I was absolutely shocked,” Lowe said. “I didn’t think in a million years that I was going home that night. I was standing at that rose ceremony thinking I was going to marry her.”
”At the end of the day, Emily realized I’m not the one for her and had to make the decision that was best for her,” Lowe continued. “It was hard to accept at the moment, but I’ve come to realize that when I find my wife, she’s not going to have any doubts about whether I’m the one she wants to be with forever.”
Following his elimination, Sean Lowe thanked his fans for their support during his time on The Bachelorette 2012. “Wow! Thanks so much to everyone who sent love my way,” Lowe said his Twitter feed. “Emily is such an amazing girl and I wouldn’t change a thing… “I am so very blessed.”
When asked whether Sean Lowe might sign on to star on The Bachelor at some point in the future, he said he is “an open-minded optimist, and I believe the process can work. I fell in love. If I found my wife, it would be worth it.”
Emily is an idiot. She shoukd of chose Sean.
