If you haven’t already the episode spoiled, however, you can read on in our The Bachelorette 2012 recap to find out who does not get a rose from Emily this week!

Please be warned! This post contains The Bachelorette 2012 spoilers about Monday night’s episode and who was sent home. Please do not continue reading if you do not want to know what happened!

The journey to win The Bachelorette Emily Maynard’s heart will come to an end for three of the contestants on the show Monday night. ABC actually already revealed the three who would be going home on The Bachelorette 2012 when they prematurely posted the week two “Diaries of the Departed” video on YouTube by accident.

Tonight on The Bachelorette 2012, Emily Maynard will have her first one-on-one dates with some of the guys, as well as a group date involving the Muppets. Emily Maynard also puts a focus on talking about her main priority in life, her six-year-old daughter, Ricki.

Who will be selected to go on the first one-on-one dates with The Bachelorette Emily Maynard? Who will miss out on receiving a rose from Emily this week and be forced to go home when the contest for her heart has barely even begun? Read on in our The Bachelorette 2012 live recap to find out!

Host Chris Harrison calls all the guys out to the courtyard to explain the rules of the game to them. He tells them there will be individual dates and group dates and leaves the first date card. On the individual dates, they must have their bags packed because if they don’t receive a rose at the end, they’ll be going home.

Emily has chosen personal trainer Ryan to be the first to take out on an individual date to be her “king in the queen city.” Alejandro and the other guys are jealous Ryan was chosen for the first individual date card. Emily arrives wearing normal clothes, not dressed up, to pick up Ryan for their date.

Emily takes Ryan to her house for their date because she wants to see how he might fit into her life. They bake cookies (Ryan apparently passes the cookie test) and she takes him to her daughter’s soccer practice to drop off the cookies, but leaves him in the car. She is not quite ready for him to meet her daughter yet. Ryan doesn’t look comfortable.

Next Emily and Ryan get dressed up to go out to dinner. On the way to dinner with Ryan, Emily jokes about going to a Chuck-E-Cheese and dealing with a bunch of kids. They are actually headed to the Osso restaurant in Charlotte and Ryan looks hot in a suit. There is a huge crowd turned out to see the two of them head into the restaurant.

Emily wants to know about Ryan’s ex-girlfriends and he says he only has had two serious ones. Emily says she does not want just to be a prize, she really wants to fall in love. They also talk about Emily’s daughter. Ryan says he would not treat Emily’s daughter any differently than any children they might have together.

The guys get another date card and for this one Emily wants 13 guys to go to the Muppets stage show.

Emily and Ryan end their date with dance to one of her favorite bands, Gloriana, playing a live performance of “(Kissed You) Good Night.” After the dance, which is photographed by adoring fans all over the place, Emily decides to give Ryan a rose because she thought the date went really well.

The next day on the group date, Emily takes the 13 guys to meet the Muppets. The guys will have to do stand up comedy with the Muppets for a charity event to benefit The Ricky Hendrick Centers for Intensive Care at the Levine Children’s Hospital. Charlie may have a panic attack.

Charlie gets Emily alone and confesses that he is afraid of doing the comedy sketch because he has a speech issue from an accident. Emily is very understanding and says he can just dance on the stage instead of speaking in the performance.

The show is totally fun with Miss Piggy trying to hog the spotlight (yes, pun intended) and even Charlie nails his party without any trouble. Emily and Kermit do a skit and then Emily brings her daughter Ricki up on stage to sing “Rainbow Connection” with Miss Piggy and Kermit. The guys all join in. The event raises $20,000 for the charity, which is fabulous.

Back at the mansion, another date card arrives for the guys. This one is for an individual date with Joe and Emily wants him to “get close to her heart.”

At the group date, Chris the sales director tells Emily in an aside that he really likes her and she says he is very hot. Emily asks Jef why he has seemed absent and says he makes her feel like she is in junior high. We get some drama with Kalon while Emily is dancing with Stevie and Kalon interrupts. Another guy cuts in and leaves Kalon and Stevie to start fighting. Stevie and Kalon are destined to be enemies, you can tell. Finally Emily decides to give a rose to Jef, leaving Chris upset and Jef looking quite surprised.

Next we have Emily on her individual date with Joe. They head off to the airport where they take a red carpet to a private jet. Joe is salivating over all this. The private jet takes Emily and Joe to the Greenbriar Resort in West Virginia, which is very ‘close’ to Emily’s heart.

At the mansion the men are talking about being a father to Emily’s daughter Ricki. Kalon, who is just a jerk all around, makes a snarky comment about how he thought his first child would be one he fathered. He also gets snarky with Doug about putting being a father on hold while he does The Bachelorette and Doug gets nasty right back at him. He asks Kalon if he thinks Emily put her daughter ‘on hold’ to do the show.

Emily dresses in a gorgeous pink gown and Joe is amazed at how beautiful she is. The two sit down for a private dinner by a “love clock” and Joe gushes about what an honor it is for him to be there. They talk about what they want out of life but Emily is just not feeling it. Emily gets upset and starts crying because she just doesn’t feel like Joe is the right fit with her and Ricki. Joe is nice about it and gets it, but Emily is still upset that she has decided not to give him a rose and send him home. Joe is out!

The guys don’t believe it when a driver comes in and fetches Joe’s luggage. None of them thought Emily would be sending him home.

Emily spends some time with Ryan, who has written her a poem, but Tony is waiting to spend time with her too. Ryan’s poem is long and Tony is impatient to get his time. Finally he sits down with Emily and tells her about his son 5-year-old son Taylor. He really opens up and is really happy he feels like he got to connect with her.

Kalon is so being put in the ‘bad guy’ role and he feels the other guys are trying to make him into an outcast because of his fight with Doug. Finally he goes to have his ‘me’ time with Emily, but Doug is right on his heels.

Now it is time for the rose ceremony! Ryan and Jef already have roses from earlier so they are safe. The others receiving a rose tonight are: Arie, Chris, Doug, Charlie, Kalon, Michael, Nate, Sean, Travis, Tony, John, Allessandro, Alejandro and Stewie.

Going home tonight are: Joe (previously), Aaron and Kyle.
