NBC Universal knows how to cash in on a hit. The company has a zillion products on the market taking advantage of The Biggest Loser brand name. Now they have launched two new ventures, The Biggest Loser video game and The Biggest Loser Resort.
Fans of the show who have an insane wish to go through the same kind of torture suffered by contestants can now shell out $2000 a week to ‘vacation’ at The Biggest Loser Resort in southern Utah. For big bucks, folks can have their calories restricted to 1200 a day and be beaten to a pulp by personal trainers. Call it a grown up Fat Camp.
According to resort co-owner Tami Clark, the diet and exercise routines closely mimic those on The Biggest Loser. Which means you can pay them crazy amounts of money to throw up in front of your friends, pass out, weep uncontrollably, injury yourself severely and – oh yeah – hopefully lose lots of weight.
If that’s a bit too rough for you, you can opt to buy yourself a copy of The Biggest Loser Wii and Nintendo DS fitness game. We’re sure you’ll burn plenty of calories unwrapping it, using it once and then hiding it on a shelf under your giant box of double-stuffed Oreos.
