Sylvia Yacoub

Egyptian native Sylvia Yacoub is inspired by her mother, who was not allowed to pursue her dreams in her home country because she is a woman. Sylvia performs “Only Girl In The World” and she is terrific! Christina, Cee Lo and Blake all hit their buttons for Sylvia.

Judges: Christina thinks it was a tough song choice and it was a great performance. She thinks Sylvia has a lot in common with her. Blake likes how she just got better and better through the whole song. He jokes that her name is country enough for his team. Ceel los says she is the only girl in the world and she needs to join his team. Alas for Cee Lo, Sylvia decides to join Team Christina.

AJ Quinn

AJ Quin grow up on a pig farm in North Carolina. He has a very unusually high voice, but he knows those judges are going to spin for him. AJ gives a not great performance of “Virtual Insanity” and none of the judges hit their buttons.

Judges: Adam says he thought he was listening to a girl singing and the song was strained. Christina says she loves his energy, but he pushed it too hard. No team for AJ.

Charlie Rey

Next up is Charlie Rey, who has been working with his dad for seven years but wants to break out and be a singer. Charlie manages to snag both Blake and Adam with his performance of “Home”.

Judges: Blake says Charlie is cool and confident and he liked the version of the song. Cee Lo says he was loving the performance. Adam says he sounds refined and did a great job. Charlie decides to go with Team Blake.

Amanda Brown

Amanda Brown is a gospel church singer, but she loves to sing all kinds of music. She performs “Why Don’t You Come Over” and it looks like maybe she won’t be turning any judges. Luckily, Cee Lo find something he likes and decides he is going to hit his button.

Judges: Cee Lo says she did a great job and pulled out the best moments of the song. Christina thought she was right on. Amanda is on Team Cee Lo by default.

Yolanda Barber

Now up we have the oldest performer of the season with Yolanda Barber, who has been singing for 45 years. She performs “Get Here If You Can” and it is kind of sad when none of the judges hit their buttons.

Judges: Christina says she was just not the kind of sound she is looking for. Cee Lo says she is a seasoned vocalist and did a great job.

Cassadee Pope

On the stage now we have kind of a famous face with Hey Monday’s Cassadee Pope. Cassadee found success and toured the world with her band, but now she is ready to go solo. She gives a terrific performance of “Torn” and gets the only four judge spin of the night! Could we have a future The Voice season 3 winner here?

Judges: Adam turns first, followed by Christina, Blake and finally Cee Lo. Adam and Christina give Cassadee a standing ovation. Christina thinks she could go all the way and she is great, the song was done beautifully. Adam says he would be totally honored to have her on his team. Cee Lo thinks she gave a great performance and it was a wonderful job; she was totally cool. Blake thinks she is a superstar in the making because there is no one like her out there. Cassadee apparently takes Blake’s flattery to heart because she decides to pick Team Blake.

  1. Charlie Rey was fantastic last night! Buble is a really hard person to cover and
Charlie did a great job making the song his own. Fell in love
with Cassadee at the end too, and I have to admit she was pretty good. The blind auditions have had some pretty
talented singers so far this season and I’m sad to see them come to an end next
week. I was happy to see Blake add some strong singers to his team last
    night. Go Team Blake!
