The Voice season 3 battle rounds continue tonight on NBC. The Voice 2012 coaches Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton don’t have many steals left to work with, so we can expect to see more great singers unfortunately going home. Who was eliminated on The Voice 2012 season 3 tonight? Who was saved with the steal and won a second chance? Join us for our The Voice season 3 recap of the battle rounds part 4!

WARNING: THE VOICE 2012 SEASON 3 SPOILERS AHEAD!

This post contains The Voice 2012 season 3 spoilers from the first battle round. Please stop reading here if you do not want to know what happened!

Last night on The Voice 2012 battle rounds part 3, fans were sad to see some truly fabulous singers go home. I was personally unhappy to see all of last night’s eliminated singers go home, but I thought Todd Kessler was the greatest loss of the evening. Thankfully, The Voice season 3 judges did pull out the steals to save two of the eliminated singers who really deserved a second chance, Theresa Griffin and Joselyn Rivera.

Tonight on The Voice season 3 will feature some country shine with Team Blake’s Liz Davis battling it out to stay with her mentor and a diva dilemma with Team Adam as he struggles to choose between two talented contestants. Join us here for our The Voice season 3 recap of the battle rounds part 4 right here live at 8PM ET.

Check out a preview of what’s coming up on The Voice 2012 season 3 tonight as we wait for the show to begin!

Liz Davis and Nicole Johnson (Team Blake) – “Baggage Claim” by Miranda Lambert

First up tonight are Liz Davis and Nicole Johnson of Team Blake in a full-on country showdown. Both ladies do really well with the song and it is a shame Blake can’t keep both.

Judges: Christina says she loved both ladies and they both have great voices. Cee Lo thinks both women did a good job on the song. Adam says both of them sound a lot a like, but he thinks Nicole edged it out for the win. Blake says his wife Miranda will be very impressed by their performance. He thinks Nicole ran out of breath a few times. He seems very torn on who to choose. In contrast, he says Liz did not lose her breath and is a bit more experienced.

Winner: Liz Davis

Steal: No one steals Nicole Johnson. I’m sure Nashville will be happy to have her some other way.

Alessandra Guercio and Kayla Nevarez (Team Adam) – “Wide Awake” by Katy Perry

Both contestants seem a bit weak on this song and I’m not loving the arrangement at all. A very karoake performance from both ladies in my opinion.

Judges: The judges do not seem particularly thrilled by the battle either but seem to be leaning toward Alessandra. Adam thinks the performance was too constrained and off pitch. He seems to find it hard to choose between two bad performances. Finally he decides to pick the girl who he liked their attitude most in the auditions round.

Winner: Kayla Nevarez

Steal: Amazingly Christina decides she wants to steal Alessandra even though she really was not very good. Christina likes Alessandra because she has a background that is kind of like hers.

Next up we fast forward through some results, which always drives me a little crazy. Especially when we were just shown a full length duet of two people who weren’t very good. Here are the results:

Ben Taub and Mycle Wastman (Team Cee Lo) – Mycle won, no steal

Adanna Duru and Michelle Brooks-Thompson (Team Adam) – Michelle won, no steal

Beat Frequency and Laura Vivas (Team Christina) – Laura won, no steal

Emily Earle and Mackenzie Bourg (Team Cee Lo) – “Good Time” by Owl City & Carly Rae Jepsen

Both singers are do good job on this song and honestly I am not sure I could pick between them. They each have their own unique qualities. I don’t absolutely love either one, but I think they both sang well and could go either way. Not a wow performance, but not the worst of the night either.

Judges: Adam says he felt there wasn’t any chemistry on stage with them and it was a bit uncomfortable. If he had to pick one though, he would pick Emily. Blake thinks Mackenzie has a good ear and a strong voice but can sometimes sound squeaky. He likes Emily’s strong country sound and he would pick her of the two. Christina says Makenzie has many talents and she enjoyed watching Mackenzie more. Cee Lo says he is mixed over who to choose.

Winner: Mackenzie Bourg

Steal: No steal from any of the judges.

And believe it or not, that is it for the night. A short and sweet end to the week for The Voice season 3!
