On The Voice 2012 live semifinals performance show Monday night, the final 8 contestants battled it out for one last chance to make it to the season 2 finals. Only four contestants will impress the judges and the voters enough to pass through to The Voice 2012 finals.
For The Voice 2012 semifinals, each of the remaining 8 contestants from Team Adam Levine, Team Christina Aguilera, Team Cee Lo Green and Team Blake Shelton, were required to perform a solo song and sing with their team as part of an ensemble group. The four contestants who rank highest in combined score from the judges and the voters on The Voice 2012 elimination results show on Tuesday will move on to the finals to represent their respective teams. The other four remaining contestants will be eliminated.

Tony Lucca (Team Adam) — “How You Like Me Now” by The Heavy
Judges: Adam Levine digs the song and thinks it was great; the perfect song for the semifinals. Blake Shelton says he really enjoyed it even though he had not heard the original. Christina Aguilera says she loves the original song and thought it was a slick rendition. Cee Lo Green says the performance was a great surprise and he is pleased.
Erin Willet (Team Blake) — “Without You” by David Guettavevo
Judges: Christina Aguilera thinks it was a very bold song choice and she was very emotive. Cee Lo Green thinks it was a great song choice and she was fabulous. Blake Shelton says her talent is extraorinary and it was a beautiful performance.
Chris Mann (Team Christina) — “Ava Maria”
Judges: Cee Lo Green says Chris’ voice is powerful and pure, the song was awesome. Adam Levine thought it was super cool and classy. Christina Aguilera says the heavens opened up and moved with this song. She even goes up on stage to give Chris a hug!
Jamar Rogers (Team Cee Lo) — “If You Don’t Know Me By Now” by Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff (recorded by Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes)
Judges: Adam Levine says he is a total fan of Jamar. Blake Shelton thinks it sounded lovely and laid back. Christina Aguielera says she was motivated by that song and liked his low tone at the end. Cee Lo Green says it was a great job and he thinks America wants to know Jamar more.
Team Adam and Team Cee Lo combine to perform “All Things I’ve Done” by The Killers.
Jermaine Paul (Blake Shelton) — “Open Arms” by Journey
Judges: Christina Aguilera says Jermaine is insanely talented and she is a big fan. Cee Lo Green loved the performance. Adam Levine congratulates Jermaine for no longer being a background singer and says he is in the front for good now. Blake Shelton says he is very proud and thinks Jermaine is a frontrunner and is peaking at the right time.
Katrina Parker (Team Adam) — “Killing Me Softly” by The Fugees
Judges: Blake Shelton says it is hard for him to believe Katrina was just sitting in a cubicle shuffling papers only a few months ago. Christina Aguilera says she has honestly fallen in love with Katrina and she is a star. Cee Le Green says Katrina has reinvented the song and was very good. Adam Levine thinks all the judges have become huge fans and she was fantastic.
Lindsey Pavao (Team Christina) — “Skinny Love” by Bon Iver
Judges: Adam Levine says he loves the show because everyone is so different and it was a great performance. Cee Lo Green says she played confidently and sounded good. Blake Shelton also thought it was really good. Christina Aguilera says she loved it and killed it; she goes on stage to hug Lindsey.
Team Blake and Team Christina take the stage to perform “The Edge of Glory” by Lady Gaga. Love this song and it’s a great performance!
Juliet Simms (Team Cee Lo) — “It’s a Man’s World” by James Brown
Judges: Cee Lo Green rounds out the night with a standing ovation for Juliet. She rocked it and the crowd is going wild. He says she killed and he is very emotional. Adam Levine says Juliet is really something special and everyone was captured by the song; she is the one to beat. Christina Aguilera says the performance brought her back to when she sang this song; it is very powerful.
The judges write down their scores for each team member, but we won’t find out the results until The Voice 2012 elimination results show tomorrow night!

II FEEL THAT THE AUDIO ON THE SHOW OVER POWERS THE VOICE OF THE PERFORMER……IT S FRUSTRATING WHEN WATCHING THE SHOW THAT I LOVE TO WATCH..
I second the comment. They have a “crowd whipper” pushing the audience to keep up the roar, but they haven’t adjusted the audio mix to allow us to hear the voices. Must be doing it on purpose. Right?
