The third night of The Voice season 3 premiere will battle for ratings tonight against the X Factor season 2 premiere. Hopefully, producers for The Voice 2012 season 3 saved some seriously hot talent to show off tonight in the third round of the blind auditions to compete against the X Factor 2012 premiere. Personally I think it was kind of a silly move, especially considering it also bumped the America’s Got Talent 2012 finals to 9 PM instead of 8 PM, but obviously NBC wanted to make a statement of some kind…

Tonight on The Voice 2012 season 3, the coaches will have the chance to secure more fabulous singers for their teams in hopes of picking the future winner of the show. Here’s the rundown so far for each of the teams:
Team Blake Shelton: Terry McDermott, Gracia Harrison, Casey Muessicman, Julio Cesar Castillo
Team Christina Aguilera: De’Borah, Devon Deloera, Adriana Louise, Aguile
Team Adam Levine: Bryan Keith, Joe Kirkland
Team Cee Lo Green: Daniel Rosa, Trevin Hunte, Mackenzie Bourg
As you can see, Adam Levine needs to get going with choosing some more great talent for his team as he is still two contestants down from the other coaches. We’ll see if he manages to catch up tonight on round 3 of The Voice 2012 season 3 auditions. As it stands, I think the best talent is pretty equally divided among the four teams. Last night’s talent wasn’t quite as stellar as the first night of The Voice season 3 premiere, but I’m hoping they will be pulling out the best singers they’ve got to compete against the X Factor 2012 season 2 premiere tonight.
The first contestant up tonight is Samuel Morton, who has quite an unexpected voice for his appearance. Samuel manages to get three judges to spin for him. Only Blake Shelton does not hit his button. Christina says she expected to see dreads on Samuel when she turned around, only to see someone totally different than she expected. Blake regrets he didn’t hit his button. After deliberating his choices, Samuel finally chooses to join Adam’s team.
Chris Truesdale is the next performer and used to be in a boy band. He also apparently appeared in Dream Street with Jesse McCartney once. Unfortunately, his boy band background does not help him to impress the judges and no one hits their button. Blake says he is more of a dancer that sings, than a singer that dances and he should work on that.
Nigerian born Nelly’s Echo has a hard luck story sure to soften the ears of show listeners. His father was a falsely accused criminal and he and his brothers used music to keep their spirits up. His family fled to the United States for a better life. He performs “Ain’t No Sunshine” and it is beautiful. Both Christina and Adam hit their buttons and they would both love to have him. Nelly chooses Christina since she was the first to spin for him.
Mother-daughter duo Crystal and Alison Steele are up next and they sing “Before He Cheats” by Carrie Underwood. Naturally Blake Shelton turns around, but so does Cee Lo Green. Blake says he wants them and he wants to protect him from the harsh music business. They like what he has to say and choose him as their coach.
Domo is the name of the next act and she is rather full of herself. She gives a performance of “Don’t Cha” by The Pussycat Dolls. I don’t want to like her because of her attitude, but I kind of do. Plus, she’s smoking sexy and she can dance. However, only Cee Lo Green turns for her and she doesn’t have any choice but to take him as her coach. Christina wishes him good luck with his new team member, LOL.
The last performer tonight is Nicole Nelson, who has been singing for 10 years but not making much out of it. She gives a crowd-raising performance of “Hallelujah” and everyone is loving it! All the judges hit their buttons and spin around for this one. Nicole has the pick of any coach she wants, but she finally decides to choose Adam, who was the first one to turn for her.
We also had successful performances (in brief) from Lisa Scinta, MarissaAnn and Loren Allred. Lisa and MarissaAnn chose Christina. Loren chose Adam.
