After last night’s performances, it was obvious which singer would NOT be the one who got voted off The Voice 2013 from the Top 8! After an absolutely stunning performance of “At Last” by Etta James, Will Champlin guaranteed himself a spot in the Top 6 when his song won the iTunes vote multiplier by coming in number eight on the Top 200 singles chart. Figuring out which singers would be the ones who went home on The Voice results show this week was not quite so easy.

Picking out who would end up in the bottom three from the Top 8 was not quite so obvious. Based on the performances from last night, their track record so far, and their places on the iTunes charts overnight, we finally decided it would most likely be Ray Boudreaux, James Wolpert, and Matthew Schuler. We thought we could possibly be wrong about James and it might be Caroline Pennell in the bottom three again, but that was a tough call.
Well, it turns out after all the votes were counted, we were indeed wrong about James Wolpert being in the bottom three. It did end up being Caroline Pennell after all. So the bottom three tonight were Ray, Caroline and Matthew. After the Twitter votes were counted for the Instant Save, the person moving on to next week from the bottom three is… Matthew Schuler!
Sadly, that means we have to say goodbye to Ray Boudreaux and Caroline Pennell. Bummer! We were really quite fond of Caroline and Ray. Do you think they deserved to go home tonight?
