Team Christina Aguilera:

Devyn DeLoera vs. Laura Vivas

Devyn DeLoera – “I Have Nothing” by Whitney Houston

Laura Vivas – “I Need to Know” by Marc Anthony

Judges: Cee Lo thinks Laura is very “caliente” and did a grand job. Adam responds in Spanish saying Cee Lo has a heart of fire? I think, LOL. Blake thinks Devyn did a good job taking on Whitney. Christina says she thinks she is more connected to Devyn and she is more in her style.

Winner: Devyn DeLoera

Loser: Laura Vivas

Adriana Louise vs. Celica Westbrook

Adriana Louise – “Already Gone” by Kelly Clarkson

Celica Westbrook – “Never Say Never” by Justin Bieber

Judges: This judgement call is six of one, half dozen of the other for the judges. Neither really blew it out of the water or triumphed over the other singer. Adam thinks Adriana is more suited for Team Christina. Blake thinks both of them were pitchy in places and both had good moments. Blake and Adam trade jibes over pitch and bitch status. Christina is proud of both, but thinks Adriana had a problem with nerves. She like’s Celica’s fire, but in the end, decides she likes Adriana’s easy presence on stage more.

Winner: Adriana Louise

Loser: Celica Westbrook

Alessandra Guercio vs. Dez Duron

Alessandro Guercio – “Take a Bow” by Rihanna

Dez Duron – “Stuck on You” by Lionel Richie

Judges: Adam thinks both of the singers have big talent, but he thinks he has to go with Alessandra. Blake says it is a battle of the heartthrobs. Cee Lo says he is jealous that Dez is lucky enough to be on a team full of gorgeous women. Christina can’t deny the charm of a good-looking guy who sings like he is gazing at rainbows.

Winner: Dez Duron

Eliminated: Alessandra Guercio

Chevonne vs. De’Borah

Chevonne – “Dancing With Myself” by Billy Idol

De’Borah – “You Found Me” by Defrey

Judges: Adam thinks Chevonne gave it her best try and it was a good performance, but De’Borah was the clear winner. The judges are pretty unanimous in thinking this one went to De’Borah hands down. Christina can’t help but agree.

Winner: De’Borah

Eliminated: Chevonne

Aquile vs. Sylvia Yacoub

Aquile – “Grenade” by Bruno Mars

Sylvia Yacoub – “Fighter” by Christina Aguilera

Judges: After Adam thinks it is cute to poke fun at American Idol and compare Cee Lo Green to Randy Jackson (with Blake asking jokingly who that is), the choice is far from easy. Aquile was really great, but Christina obviously loves a mini-me girl with balls enough to sing one of her songs.

Winner: Sylvia Yacoub

Eliminated: Aquile

Team Blake Shelton:

Gracia Harrison vs. Liz Davis

Gracia Harrison – “I Don’t Wanna Miss a Thing” by Aerosmith

Liz Davis – “Gunpowder and Lead” by Miranda Lambert

Judges: Christina says she has gained a newfound respect for country music after seeing this. She thinks Liz is the best pick from these two. Adam disagrees  and he says he thinks Gracia has more potential even though she picked the wrong song. Blake did not like the song choice either and thought Liz was more confident.

Winner: Liz Davis

Eliminated: Gracia Harrison

Rudy Parris vs. Terry McDermott

Rudy Parris – “Forever” by MAN WHO BEATS WOMEN (I will not type his name and give him free publicity.)

Terry McDermott – “Maybe I’m Amazed” by Paul McCartney

Judges: Blake thinks Rudy’s song was too young for him. The judges all seem to think Terry was the better performer tonight. Adam says he is just crazy good.

Winner: Terry McDermott

Eliminated: Rudy Parris

Collin McLoughlin vs. Michaela Paige

Collin McLoughlin – “Falling to Pieces” by The Script

Michaela Paige – “Love is a Battlefield” by Pat Benatar

Judges: Christina and Blake both think Michaela did the better job with the song. Christina thinks Michaela is a geniune performer. Blake thinks both singers had issues with their performance, but in the end one of them was slightly less flawed.

Winner:
Michaela Paige

Eliminated: Collin McLoughlin

Julio Cesar Castillo vs. MarissaAnn

Julio Cesar Castillo – “Somebody to Love” by Justin Bieber (not to be confused with the much better song of the same name by Queen)

MarissaAnn – “Lady Marmalade” by Labelle (also by Christina Aguilera, but Labelle were the originals)

Judges: Christina tells MarissaAnn she did a good job and blows her kisses for doing “Lady Marmalade” relatively well. Blake thinks, however, that Julio is the singer he has invested more time and effort in and so he wants to keep him. I don’t get that. He’s okay, but I really just don’t think his vocals are as good as MarissaAnn’s.

Winner: Julio Cesar Castillo

Eliminated: MarissaAnn

Cassadee Pope vs. Suzanna Choffel

Cassadee Pope – “Payphone” by Maroon 5

Suzanna Choffel – “Could You Be Loved” by Bob Marley

Judges: Christina thinks Suzanna chose a great song for herself. Adam says Cassadee broke his heart again. First she chose Blake, then she sings a song by his band. Still, he would pick Cassadee. Blake says it is hard to beg someone to be on your team and then cut them. He has to go with who he thinks is better.

Winner: Cassadee Pope

Eliminated: Suzanna Choffel
