The Voice season 3 semifinals are here at last and tonight fans will find out which of the remaining singers will make it through to the final round. Cassadee Pope and Terry McDermott of Team Blake Shelton are up against Nicholas David and Trevin Hunte of Team Cee Lo Green in the last The Voice results show before the finale. Only three of them will survive the night and come back next week to compete in The Voice 2012 season 3 finals.
Who got voted off The Voice this week is in the hands of the voters but we have our predictions on which contestant will be sent packing tonight. Read on for our The Voice predictions for tonight’s elimination results show and tell us who you think will was voted off The Voice this week!
Cassadee Pope of Team Blake Shelton seems to have the odds heavily in her favor right now not only to make it to The Voice 2012 season 3 finals, but to also possibly win the whole thing. She hit number one again on the iTunes top 10 with her performance of “Stupid Boy” on The Voice last night. Although she is already signed to Sony as an artist, it looks like she may well be on her way to another record deal. Apparently one is just not enough. I don’t get how that’s allowed in the rules though…
While Nicholas David is kind of quirky and not the generic pop star type, his soulful performance dedicated to his family last night was beautiful. Not putting him through to the finals this week would just be cruel after that, so I am really hoping he does make it through. He made it to the iTunes top 10 as well at number 6 with his rendition of “You Are So Beautiful” last night.
Terry McDermott has been the contestant in The Voice season 3 top 4 that I have been most worried will not make the finals. The past few weeks have not been his best and an aging rock star is not really that appealing to the all important younger vote. However, after he absolutely killed in his performance of The Beatles‘ “Let It Be” last night on The Voice, I am hopeful that he will indeed survive the elimination tonight. The song made it into the iTunes top 10 too at number 2 at one point I believe, so that could be a good sign.
If all three of these singers do end up safe, that just leaves Trevin Hunte as the only contestant left. While he is a very talented guy, I just feel his performances recently have been weak and one-note. His vocal style also reminds me too much of The Voice 2012 season 2 winner, Jermaine Paul. Of course, that could mean he is exactly what The Voice voting audience wants… but I think not. I could be wrong, but I don’t think Trevin Hunte even managed to crack the iTunes top 10 with his song from last night.
Thus, it looks like my The Voice season 3 predictions for the elimination results tonight are: Cassadee Pope, Nicholas David and Terry McDermott are safe and Trevin Hunte was the one who got voted off The Voice this week. Now we’ll just have to wait and see what actually happens tonight!
