WARNING: THE VOICE SEASON 3 SPOILERS AHEAD!
This post contains The Voice 2012 season 3 spoilers from this week’s elimination results show. Please stop reading here if you do not want to know what happened or who was voted off The Voice season 3 Tuesday night!
Tonight on The Voice season 3, two more singers will be headed out the door. We are quickly narrowing down the finalists as we race toward The Voice 2012 season 3 finale. After a night of truly stellar performances on Monday, it is difficult to predict who was voted off The Voice this week, but no matter which contestant it is that won’t be moving forward, it will be sad to see them go. All of the remaining singers truly worked it last night and really put their hearts and souls into their performances. Watching two of them go home tonight will be just a bit heart-breaking.
To keep us entertained while we wait for The Voice elimination results this evening, country stars Rascal Flatts will make a guest appearance with their song “Changed”. Coaches Christina Aguilera and Adam Levine will also be taking to the stage tonight to perform with their respective teams.

RECAP: To launch The Voice tonight, host Carson Daly tells us that Cassadee Pope and Melanie Martinez have an increased chance to go through to the top 8 thanks to both of them hitting the iTunes Top 10. That means each of them will have their iTunes votes multiplied by 10.
Now we have one of those time-wasting performances to annoy us while we wait for the results to come in. This one is from Christina Aguilera and her team singing “Let Their Be Love” off her new album.
Dragging more social media into reality TV tonight, the Twitter followers of The Voice will decide which team will give us another time-wasting performance later tonight. It will be either “Hit Me With Your Best Shot” by Pat Benatar or “I want You to Want Me” by Cheap Trick.
Then we have a bunch of useless banter between the host and the judges and the judges and each other. None of it is really worth reprinting.
Oh, and we have some random trivia info about various judges and singers if you are interested in that sort of thing.
Our first results for the night are finally here and we will learn which two singers will be the first to move on to The Voice season 3 top 8 and be safe this week. They are… Nicholas David from Team Cee Lo and… Cassadee Pope from Team Blake. No big surprises there. Nicholas may be old school, but he has been smoking hot for weeks. Cassadee Pope gave one of her best performances last night, even if she isn’t my cup of tea. Plus, she’s got ‘hot girl’ syndrome and that is always good for votes, even when you dress like a freakish, white crane or something like she did last night…
We are interrupted now by a performance from Rascal Flatts, which is actually quite enjoyable… even for a diehard non-fan of their genre of music.
Now we have more results to share and the next two singers moving on are… Dez Devon from Team Christina (cute boy, of course) and Cody Belew from Team Cee Lo. Good one for Cody as some The Voice season 3 fan sites were predicting he would be eliminated this week. My partner for some reason wants to note that Cody is just one letter away from having a really amusing name.
Team Adam takes the stage for a performance of “Crazy Little Thing Called Love” by Queen. Meanwhile, all I can hear is the Jeopardy theme in my head ticking away the time until we find out more results…
And here we go! The next contestant through to the top 8 is… Melanie Martinez! I’m happy about that one. She may not be the next pop superstar in the making, but I love her individuality.
Now we find out what the Twitter fans voted for this evening. It looks like they would like to hear “Hit Me With Your Best Shot” by Pat Benatar. I approve. Pat Benatar is always a winner.
And next we have more results and I’m also very pleased about this one as Terry McDermott is declared safe this evening!
“Hit Me With Your Best Shot” Interlude!
We are getting down to the last results tonight on The Voice and we have another artist declared safe this evening by the voters… Trevin Hunte of Team Cee Lo.
Only three singers are left to find out their fates tonight: Amanda Brown, Sylvia Yacoub and Bryan Keith. Two of them will be eliminated and one will join the others in The Voice season 3 top 8.
The two contestants who are eliminated tonight on The Voice are…
Bryan Keith and Sylvia Yacoub!
