WARNING: THE VOICE SEASON 3 SPOILERS AHEAD!
This post contains The Voice spoilers from this week’s elimination results show. Please stop reading here if you do not want to know what happened or who went home on The Voice season 3 Tuesday night!
This week is another double elimination on The Voice season 3. The choices are getting tougher for the voters as we race toward The Voice finale on December 18. Almost all of the remaining singers are stellar performers and predicting who will be eliminated is getting much more difficult.
Last week, there were a number of The Voice predictions that Cody Belew or Melanie Martinez might go home. Instead, it was Sylvia Yacoub from Team Christina and Bryan Keith from Team Adam who were sent home on The Voice results show.
This week, the predictions for who was voted off The Voice season 3 in this round are a bit all over the map. While some loved the Justin Bieber song by Dez Duron, many felt the performance was just not strong enough to save the last member of Team Christina. Trevin Hunte of Team Cee Lo has been a powerhouse all season, but a lot of people seem to be starting to find him boring. Terry McDermott of Team Blake may also be starting to feel a little less than fresh with the voters, especially after a less than fantastic performance last night.

RECAP: To launch the show tonight, host Carson Daly tells the audience that three of the singers hit the top 10 on iTunes and will have their iTunes votes multiplied by 10. Those three with the extra votes this evening will be: Cassadee Pope, Nicholas David and Melanie Martinez. Yay! That gives me hope for Nicholas David and Melanie Martinez maybe making it through the elimination tonight.
Before we get to the first results, Amanda Brown from Team Adam and Trevin Hunte from Team Cee Lo take the stage to perform “Marry the Night” by Lady Gaga. Amanda clearly has the upper hand in this duet as she is kind of smoking Trevin right now.
After some random judges chit-chat, we finally get to our first results for the evening. The first singer who will be declared safe from elimination thanks to the voters tonight is…
Cassadee Pope of Team Blake. Let me again say that I just don’t get the appeal, but more power to her fans for voting their fingers blue for her every week.
We take a break from the results for a bit on Cee Lo Green going to Las Vegas to film his Muppets Christmas show. He invites contestants from The Voice, current and former, to join him in performing on the special. To cap off his Muppets segment, Cee Lo and Kermit the Frog sing a duet of “It’s Not Easy Being Green”. That may be one of the weirdest things I’ve seen on a reality TV talent show… except virtually everything seen on America’s Got Talent, of course.
Now we move on to the next singer who is safe from elimination tonight and that is… no surprise here…
Amanda Brown from Team Adam. I’m pretty sure no one expected she would be in danger tonight.
Next up we have Melanie Martinez, Cody Belew, Terry McDermott and Nicholas David on stage for a performance of “Rhythm of Love” by the Plain White Ts. Viewers also get to watch a video bit of The Voice season 3 top 8 hanging out with host Carson Daly for a morning radio show. Cute and all that, but let’s get back to the results!
The next singer who has been saved by the voters tonight on The Voice is…
Melanie Martinez from Team Adam! Yay! I’m happy about that. Not everyone loves her, but I find her unique style very entertaining. Team Adam has soared through the results show tonight intact.
Cassadee Pope of Team Blake and Dez Duron of Team Christina are on stage for our next performance of the night with “I Hate That I Love You” by Rihanna and Ne-Yo.
Moving on to the next results announcement, we have another singer saved by the voters this evening–no doubt in part because of those multiplied iTunes votes–and it is…
Nicholas David from Team Cee Lo! Well, I am just pleased as punch so far at the results tonight as several of my favorites have already been declared safe.
Racing right along now, we have the final results for you now for this week on The Voice season 3!
The final two singers who have been saved by the voters from elimination this week are…
Terry McDermott from Team Blake! Woohoo, I’m happy about that one, how can you not love this guy?
And…
Trevin Hunte from Team Cee Lo! Okay, not so pleased on this one as I’ve finally lost one of my favorites now because he got through.
So the two going home tonight on The Voice season 3 are…
Dez Duron of Team Christina (her team is now totally eliminated) and Cody Belew of Team Cee Lo (Boo! I admit I liked him, although he was not winner material, he was a lot of fun.)

Quote from Ms. Vess: “Cassadee Pope of Team Blake. Let me again say that I just don’t get the appeal, but more power to her fans for voting their fingers blue for her every week.” – Laura Vess
From Petty Officer Jon Ingram:
Well Ms. Vess, you are obviously not only tone deaf but also a complete idiot when it comes to stage appeal. Cassedee Pope has both! She is an excellent vocalist AND she is beautiful! I have never seen an image of you but I am assuming that you are a writer and not an on-screen broadcaster for a reason! So, take your ugly self and your ugly comments and go to hell. Cassedee has a real chance of winning “The Voice” this season. What will you say then you jealous bitch!?
I love that Cassedee Pope is still in this competition!!! Her rendition of Blake and Miranda’s song “Over You”, about Blake’s bother, was one of the most POWERFUL songs I have ever heard. The way she sang the song WAS the way it should have been sung. No one but a TRUE ARTIST could take someone else’s song and make it their’s yet still hold the true meaning to the song like she did. So as far as I am concerned you have no idea what talent is!!!
She’s pretty and can sing, but the tone of her voice is… meh. Just not a great tonal quality.
I thought Terry hit #1 on the ITunes rock chart? Didn’t that mean HE got the extra votes, or is it in the top ten on the overall singles chart? Can someone who knows clarify this?
I say thank you for defending our country if you are a real sailor boy because our country is all about free speech and freedom of expression. (If you aren’t, then I assume you like Japanese octopus anime or something.) The freedom our proud military defends includes the right to disagree with you about our preferences in music. But I will choose not to use my freedom to call you nasty names because I have more respect for you as a human being than you apparently do for me. 🙂 Have a great evening!
Cassadee is incredible!!! As someone who has seen her perform live multiple times (twice with her old band Hey Monday and twice as a guest with All Time Low) I can promise you she is the one who has what it takes! She is not only an amazing singer but also a great performer and sincerely appreciative of fans. Plus she has the range to sing lots of different kinds of music and is stunningly beautiful! If you don’t see the appeal there is something wrong with you.
you ignorant little scene girl. when you grow up and learn to appreciate real bands, your’ll understand there’s more to the industry than all time low. you arent in his fucking family so grow up and accept you don’t know shit about what is good.
You are the one making ugly comments. You need to grow up. If you are really a navy officer, they must have very low standards. Ever heardthe expression “an officer and a gentleman”?
wow!!!!!! Trevin Hunte Advance to the next round of The Voice Season 3.
Nice attitude!! Did it come with a free dick in your mouth?
If you can’t write something intelligible, don’t bother.
Vulgarity is unnecessary. Would you kiss your mother with that mouth?
If u don’t have anything nice to say then don’t say anything at all. Some people!!! Go Cassadee. Love her she makes it seem effortless.
To: “Sailor Jon” – YOU are the ugly one because you are ugly inside – probably outside too.
What’s your problem? I was responding to two people who had made nasty, vulgar comments which have since been deleted – for good reason! I happen to like Cassadee, and I did not say anything negative about her.
Amanda Brown & all her fakeness … If she bats her eyelashes one more time.. Ill puke. She needs to be sent home & let the real talent prevail!!
Anyone that ranks among the top 10 on itunes will get their itunes multiplied by 10.
