WARNING: THE X FACTOR 2012 SPOILERS AHEAD!

This post contains spoilers from The X Factor 2012 auditions for season 2. Please stop reading if you do not want to know what happened!

****************************************************************

The X Factor 2012 judges have chosen some great talent so far for season 2. They’ve also sent home an endless number of terrible singers who have no business on stage. I still always have to ask, why don’t these people know they can’t carry a tune in a bucket? What’s worse is that either they don’t listen to the people who tell them they are terrible, or people just keeping lying to them so badly they actually go try out for something like The X Factor 2012 believing they are good. Ouch!

Yes, I know, some of these ‘terrible’ singers are actually staged, but there are still a good number of tone-deaf hopefuls in The X Factor auditions who have no clue they are just horrible. It’s sad that it takes going on live TV in front of millions to find out how badly they really suck.

Tonight, let’s hope The X Factor 2012 judges will have more great singers to choose from and not so many awful ones. Of course, cringe-worthy auditions are a staple of any Simon Cowell starring show, so I’m sure we’ll probably have more than we need to see. Oh well, let’s hope among all the rocks out there we find some true jewels in our The X Factor 2012 recap tonight!

Rizzloe Jones – Freestyle Rap

The X Factor 2012 auditions continue tonight with rapper Rizzloe Jones as the first hopeful in front of the judges. He wants to freestyle rap and everyone looks like they just know this is going to turn out horribly. Amazingly enough though, he manages to do a wild rap about X Factor that includes Demi Lovato’s suggestion of something about “marshmallows” and rocks the judges. He ends up with three yes votes and is through to the next round!

CeCe Fry – “Ain’t No Other Man” by Christina Aguilera

Next up we have a rather interesting young lady with CeCe Fry and her cheetah print makeup. She does a strange rendition of “Unchained Melody” that Demi Lovato is just not going to listen to. L. A. Reid wants to know if she can sing anything else. Just when you thought this wild girl was going home, she belts out a stunning version of Christina Aguilera’s “Ain’t No Other Man” and wows the judges. (You could hear some jaws drop in the audience.) With that voice, she gets to be weird AND she gets to go to the next round.

Vino Allan – “Trouble” by Ray Lamontagne

Now we have a strong contestant with a raspy, soulful voice named Vino Allan performing “Trouble” by Ray Lamontagne. The judges all love him and he goes through with a unanimous vote.

Deangelo Wallace – “A Song” by a Man Who Beats Up Women

Deangelo Wallace is the next singer up to be evaluated and he decides to sing something by that guy who beat up his girlfriend, Rihanna. No, I will not give a woman-beater publicity by repeating his name. Like his choice of song, Deangelo is lousy. The judges walk out on him. Deangelo says why can’t he be a star like Justin Bieber because Bieber can’t sing. He says all the judges worship Satan. Then he steals a microphone when he leaves. He ends up getting arrested for it too and spends a couple of hours in jail. Crazy town!

Tate Stevens –

Thankfully we have another real contestant up next with country singer Tate Stevens. He has a beautiful, rich, smooth voice and he is great to watch. The judges love him and Britney tells him “Holy cow, yes!” when it comes time to vote.

Citizen – “Don’t Let Go” by En Vogue

Oh lord, now we have a boy band lamely called ‘Citizen‘. They perform “Don’t Let Go” by En Vogue and I guess it isn’t totally horrible. I just hate boy bands of any kind. Simon isn’t a fan either, but the other judges seem to like them and pass them through.

Elevate – “Skyscraper” by Demi Lovato

The next boy band, Elevate, does NOT do so well, doing bad things to Demi Lovato’s “Skyscraper”. Not a good choice. They are followed by a girl who fails horribly at doing a cover of Adele’s “Rumor Has It”, prompting Simon to say he just cannot have any more Adele songs. I love Adele, I’m also sick of everyone singing Adele except her.

Diamond White – “This is a Man’s World” by James Brown and Betty Jean Newsom

Next up we have one of Simon’s favorite kinds of singers, a tween with a diva voice. He just LOVES those. I swear, he starts seeing dollar signs flashing before his eyes shine 13-year-old Diamond White blasts out a belt of “This Is a Man’s World”. Naturally, she is through to the next round.

Brandon Hassan – “Trouble” by Ray Lamontagne

18-year-old Brandon Hassan has a gorgeous voice and he is through easily to the next round. So are Jeremiah and Josh with their original song that really impresses L. A. Reid in particular.

Panda Ross – by Sam Cooke

Panda, 40, may not be the best singer in the universe, although she’s not bad, but she’s got tons of style and stage presence. She does a lovely job with a Sam Cooke song though and the judges pass her through to the next round. Not a winner, but she’ll be fun to watch for a while.

Jessica Espinoza – “Nobody Knows” by Pink

Last up is another sob story with Jessica Espinoza, who had a rough life and her family was poor, you now the tale. She performs “Nobody Knows” by Pink and all the judges adore her, of course. She’ll be moving on as well.

  1. Last night’s episode was the best so far on X Factor this
season. Tate Stevens was my favorite
singer of the night and I can’t wait to see him again. All my officemates at DISH were really
impressed with Panda Ross and all her antics though. After being disappointed with the first
couple episodes of the show I’m glad last night was better. I’ve been busy with class at night so I’m
watching the auditions on Prime Time Anytime on my Hopper. It automatically records all the prime time
shows on the four major networks for me.
I hope Tate makes it a long way in this season, I would love to see a
    country singer win it all.
