The X Factor Season 2 Recap: Top 4 Results Revealed!

The X Factor season 2 remaining contestants will be cut down from the top 6 to the top 4 on tonight’s show. Unless a miracle happens, at least one The X Factor USA coach will probably lose the last of their team members tonight (we’re talking about you, Demi Lovato). The X Factor 2012 finale for season 2 is just around the corner and only four singers can make it through to the semifinals next week. Who got voted off The X Factor results show this round? RECAP: Launching off the show tonight we have a mini-recap of last night’s performances and comments from the contestants. CeCe Frey, obviously oblivious to her own failings, thinks Simon Cowell needs to write her that 5 million check before someone else does. (Not going to happen honey.) Tate Stevens is just glad the judges don’t vote since he did not receive his normal universal praise last night. Fifth Harmony is freaked out by being tweeted by Harry Styles of One Direction. Better not let Taylor Swift know, she’s the jealous type…

Before we get to the results tonight, we have a guest performance from the previous season winner of The X Factor USA, Melanie Amaro. She is performing “Long Distance”, the first single off her new album.

Now we move right along to the first elimination results of the evening. The official announcement is in and the first person going home tonight is… not a surprise…

CeCe Frey of Team Demi Lovato

That was pretty much a given to everyone, although you have to give it to the girl for surviving last week’s elimination despite all odds. Her luck has finally run out tonight though. So has Demi Lovato’s because CeCe was her last contestant. From here on out, she is just a judge and no longer a coach in the competition.

Now we’ll learn the names of those who have been selected by the voters to move on to next week’s semifinals and will be safe this evening. They are:

• Emblem3
• Carly Rose Sonenclar
• Tate Stevens

Again, none of those are really a surprise. That leaves Fifth Harmony and Diamond White as the two acts left to do a sing-off for the judges tonight. Honestly, I find it hard to believe the judges will give Diamond White yet ANOTHER chance this evening after bringing her back on the show and then saving her from elimination in the sing-off once before already. I’m thinking Fifth Harmony may win this one…

Of course, before we can get to the sing-off, we have to have another guest performance. This time it is Ke$ha with her new single “Come On”.
