On American Idol last night, Crystal Bowersox and Lee DeWyze took to the stage one last time to battle for America’s votes. Who will win American Idol 2010? Well, after last night’s performances, it seems obvious to us who should win, but we still aren’t quite sure if America will agree with us.
Let’s just face it; Crystal Bowersox blew it out last night on American Idol. Lee DeWyze obviously put his heart into a valiant try, but in a head-to-head comparison, he just couldn’t touch Mama Sox. While Lee DeWyze was painfully struggling to keep on pitch, Crystal Bowersox was bringing the house down around his ears with some of her best songs of the season.
Both Randy Jackson and Simon Cowell have publicly predicted a win for Lee DeWyze. We never believe them when they predict a winner though. Sometimes it seems genuine and sometimes it feels like game play to get people to vote for the person they didn’t pick out of spite for the judges.
Throughout the season and last night especially, Crystal Bowersox proved herself to be more than just another American Idol contestant. We would have bought her albums just after hearing her audition. Based on last night’s performances alone, we are now rabid lifelong fans. We will even partake of the American Idol Live Tour – just for Mama Sox. We can’t even imagine how Bowersox could lose.
Then again, we were completely shocked when voters handed the American Idol winner title to that other guy last season. You know, the one that wasn’t Adam Lambert. We’d like to solidly predict Crystal Bowersox as the American Idol winner for 2010, she certainly deserves it. But in a Miley Cyrus and Justin Timberlake world, you just never know what kind of craziness the voters will unleash.

I am not a fan of the show but my wife is (somewhat) a fan.
We both tend to think she will WIN.. But, you all know, they will BOTH get contracts…

Crystal has been the most consistent on the show. I think she was only in the bottom 3 once. For the past couple of weeks she was just “ok” for me but last night she was in a different class by herself. She deserves to win and I hope America will see that too and vote for her!!!!!!!!!!

A national study conducted by Mediacurves.com among 3,901 American Idol viewers found that Crystal Bowersox was selected as the contestant who should win American Idol Season 9 during the show finale tonight. Dan you must be in another world and watching Idol from the back of your eyelids if you think Crystal sucked for alot of weeks she at worst was just under fantastic in any of those weeks compared to any of the other contestants it just so happened that theme weeks presented a big challenge for them all and song choice was everything not everyone can sing every kind of song. Only a few of the greats have been able to do that. Besides other than your ears what musical knowledge do you have do you write music I do do you play an instrument I do 4 to be exact can you read music or play by ear I can so please be kind in your assessments of the contestants as they all have given up alot of their lives to be on the show and while this season has been lackluster at best except for Crystal and yes Lee and a couple of others they have given it their every heart and soul and the tour will be fantastic. Thanks Dan not ripping you just wanted you to see things in a different light.
It sucks that Jennifer Lopez couldn’t get to American Idol. It would are actually magnificent if she could have gotten there. Nicely possibly she can get there next season.
