Spoiler alert: Mad Men show creator says that Don Draper will live to drink, schmooze and womanize another day. Matthew Weiner hinted that he sees the end of the series -which will run for seven seasons – potentially advancing to the end of Don’s life to see how things turned out for him.
‘I want to leave the show in a place where you have an idea of what it meant and how it’s related to you.’ If the show was brought to modern day, Draper would be 84 – that’s a lot of life to show in the next couple years (Mad Men is currently filming its fifth season, set to air next March.)
However Weiner told the Grantland.com website he doesn’t want to overstay his welcome – there will be two further series with Mad Men expected to bow out in 2014.
