WARNING: THE X FACTOR 2012 SPOILERS AHEAD!

This post contains spoilers from The X Factor 2012 auditions for season 2. Please stop reading if you do not want to know what happened!

Last week on The X Factor 2012 season 2, 120 contestants entered boot camp, but only 60 survived to make it through to the next round. Tonight those 60 will be narrowed down to just 24 remaining finalists as we move from boot camp to the judges’ homes rounds.

To help them in deciding who will land the coveted finalist spots for the live competition, The X Factor 2012 judges have brought on board four celebrity guest mentors. Justin Bieber will join L.A. Reid, Nick Jonas will help out Demi Lovato, Will.I.Am is paired up with Britney Spears and Marc Anthony will partner with Simon Cowell.

Fans can expect there to be plenty of drama in this round to enjoy. Early fan favorite singers will be cut. Judges will cry (bet you can guess who). Eliminated singers will freak out. This is when it really starts to get fun on The X Factor season 2. Viewers will be thrilled when their personal picks make it and pissed as hell when they are sent home.

The final boot camp round is upon us and the 60 remaining contestants will be narrowed down tonight to the Top 24. To kick off the show we have a mini review of various contestants and shots of the judges pondering who to save and who to cut.

Up first to learn their fates are the singers in the young adults category. Only six of the contestants will make it through to the Judges’ Homes round. The selected singers to move on from this round are… CeCe Frey, Jennel Garcia, Willie Jones, Paige Thomas, Jillian Jensen and Nick Youngerman.

The next category up is the over-25 group. The six contestants to move on from this category are… Jason Brock, David Correy, Tate Stevens, Vino Alan, Darryl Black and Tara Simon.

Now we have the groups category and the finalists from this set are… Emblem3, Sister-C and Dope Crisis.

The last category is the teens group and the final singers chosen for the Top 24 are… Beatrice Miller, Arin Ray, Reed Deming, Carly Rose Sonenclare, Diamond White and James Tanner.

The judges decide they was just too much talent they had to eliminate, so they decide to bring back a few of the people they cut to the stage. They pass them through to the next round. Ally Brooke is one of those moving on. These singers are put into three created groups from the ‘leftover’ talent the judges decided to pass through: Playback, LYLAS and One4Five + Lyric DeQueen (Lyric145).

Now we discover which judge will work with what category. Britney Spears will mentor the teens. Simon Cowell will work with the groups. Demi Lovato gets the young adults. L.A. Reid gets the last category, the over-25 group. He is really not pleased about it and slams the phone down after finding out which group he has. So not very cool. Doing that basically says he thinks that group of singers are not as good just because they are older.

The singers selected from the groups category lose it when they see Simon Cowell with guest mentor Marc Anthony.

The singers in the young adults group tells Demi Lovato they were really hoping to get her and freak when they discover Nick Jonas is their guest judge.

Over with the teens group, they are crazed with excitement when they arrive at Britney Spears’ Hollywood Hills home to find her with guest mentor Will.I.Am.

Totally ruining the moment for the singers in his group, L.A. Reid tells them he is just not happy to have to be mentoring them. They probably aren’t too happy with him after that either. Especially when they find out their guest mentor is Justin Bieber, who is how much younger than all of them? Of course, they all say they are thrilled to death about it. Justin says they will prove L.A. wrong about not wanting to mentor them.

The judges can only select four singers to go into the live competition so they have to start making cuts. The first singer up to perform is Jennel Garcia in the young adults group. She performs “I Kissed A Girl” by Katy Perry for Demi Lovato and Nick Jonas. She doesn’t know what to think because they don’t say anything to her about the performance.

Willie Jones is up next and he has chosen to repeat a song he blew away in boot camp, performing “Nobody Knows” and acing it yet again.

Now up we have Jillian Jenson with “Gravity Falls” and she gives a totally fabulous performance. I’m loving on that girl.

Nick Youngerman gives an odd performance of Kesia’s “Tik Tok” but I actually thought it was pretty cool.

Peforming last for Demi Lovato and Nick Jonas are CeCe Frey and Paige Thomas. Paige Thomas gives a kick-ass rendition of a [we will not give publicity to the name of a man who beats women]’s “Turn Up the Music” but I abhor her song choice.

CeCe Frey is the final singer and she performs “I’m Sexy and I Know It” as a tongue in cheek rejoinder to Demi’s warning that she comes across as being arrogant and having a bad attitude. Demi and Nick are entertained and amused.

Moving on to the groups category, the first group up to perform for Simon Cowell and Marc Anthony is Playback with “Rich Girl.” Not to my taste at all personally.

Not to my taste at all personally. Dope Crisis performs next with an acoustic rendition of “Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic” and they are off a bit.

Lyric145 seems to do decently well, but honestly I have no feel for rap, so I have no idea if they sucked or not.

The all girl group Sister C puts the boys to shame with a great performance.

The last ‘created’ group, calling themselves LYLAS, gives a pretty nice performance as well. Although it was more like a bunch of solos than a group performance. Still, they all sounded damn good.
