Adele sex tape claim spawns threat of legal action from Grammy winner

Rumors of an Adele sex tape have spawned threats of legal action from the Grammy Award-winning singer against anyone promoting the alleged video. French paparazzo Jean-Claude Elfassi stated Thursday via Twitter that he had a copy of an Adele sex tape, and French tabloid Public published photos allegedly taken from the video. Lawyers for Adele, however, say there is no such tape, the photos are fakes, and they will sue the pants off anyone claiming otherwise.

The French tabloid magazine, Public, screamed the alleged leak of an Adele sex tape in the headline of their latest issue: “Exclusive! Adele sex tape! Her ex’s revenge!” According to the tabloid, one of Adel’s ex-boyfriends leaked the sex tape video to get back at her for becoming famous over her poignant break-up songs. The tabloid reportedly printed three pages of alleged Adele sex tape photos from the video. The photos supposedly showed the singer “in the back seat of her car” and the tabloid called them “very risqué” and “shocking.”

Adele’s legal team has issued a press statement slamming the tabloid over the claims they are in possession of an Adele sex tape video. “We are informed that the French magazine Public has today published images which it claims show our client in a sex tape,” Adele’s lawyers told the Daily Mail. “Our client has not appeared in a sex tape as claimed in the article. our client does not appear in the photographs. Such claims are untrue and grossly defamatory. Our client is taking legal action in relation to this matter.”

French paparazzo Jean-Claude Elfassi claimed via Twitter that he had a copy of the alleged Adele sex tape video and that he would release it on the Internet on Friday. The links published on his Twitter feed, however, do not work and go to error pages. Elfassi said on his Twitter feed that his links ‘cannot support so much traffic’ and invited readers to ‘steal or buy’ Public instead to see the photos from the video. We note, however, that the supposed links to the Adele sex tape photos and blog have not worked for any media source we’ve found. So Elfassi’s claims the links are just overloaded with traffic and will be ‘back shortly’ ring a bit false.

If you should happen across links out there claiming they will show you the alleged Adele sex tape, we urge you to steer clear. Previous sex tape claims in the past have inevitably led to a lot of fake website links containing nasty viruses and malware designed to steal private information and melt hard drives. A few minutes of probably fake, alleged celebrity porn is not worth identity theft or having to reformat your hard drive.

  1. I wouldn’t click on them anyway — because I don’t think people should tape others in sexual encounters & release them to the public — but thanks for the virus warnings.
