Bret Michaels Condition Still Serious, But Full Recovery Hopeful

Celebrity Apprentice star and former Poison frontman Bret Michaels is still in serious condition following a brain henmorrhage, but his doctors are hopeful of a full recovery. Dr. Joseph Zabramski, Michaels’ neurosurgeon, said the rocker has an astonishing will to live.

“Bret’s sheer will to live and fully recover is undeniable,” Dr. Joseph Zabramski said in a press statement. “He has an unbelievable fight in him and told me what kept him alive at the moment of the hemorrhage was that he ‘did not want his family to wake up and see him lying unconscious in the middle of the floor.'”

Dr. Zabramski said Bret Micheals’ “fight to stay conscious during the hemorrhage” helped doctors to stabilize his condition when he arrived at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Phoenix, AZ.

While Bret Michaels’ condition has improved, Dr. Zabramski said the Celebrity Apprentice star still has a long road ahead to fully recover. “There is no doubt that Mr. Michaels’ condition is serious.” Testing will continue to try to determine the cause of the brain hemorrhage.

A press conference is scheduled for Tuesday by Michaels’ reps to “further explain his condition, treatment and prognosis.”
