Gillian Cooke Bobsled Split Pants Wardrobe Malfunction Video

After hearing John Edwards finally admitted to fathering former mistress Rielle Hunter‘s baby this morning, we just felt a bit dirty and greasy. Although we already pretty much knew he was the baby daddy, the whole media blowup over Edwards’ reprehensible lies yet again made us depressed.

So, to help us get back on track for the day, we spent a few minutes checking out the latest “Pants on the Ground” videos – Much love to General Larry Platt – and surfing some more funny videos to cheer us up.

While this particular video we enjoyed today is rather brief, we just can’t get over the contrast between British bobsled competitor Gillian Cooke‘s fierce, determined face and the amusing hilarity of her poor pantsuit ripping open right over her exposed bottom.

Also, we kind of find it cute that she apparently wears a thong when she’s bobsledding – or she’s having a serious wedgie. Either way, it seems like having your undies shoved in your butt crack would be a bit distracting on the bobsled course…

General Larry Platt Performs Pants on the Ground on The View

American Idol breakout Internet sensation General Larry Platt performed his signature “Pants on the Ground” rap on The View Monday. Platt also explained the origin of the song and broke out a few new dance moves for the fans!

Platt said he saw a young man walking along sucking on a baby bottle or pacifier with his “pants on the ground” and was inspired to make up the “Pants on the Ground” rap on the spot.

The ladies of The View played a video of Brett Favre singing a brief bit of “Pants on the Ground” after the Vikings win over the Cowboys on Sunday. Platt gave the rendition two thumbs up.

Platt’s nephew Jason said he was “really proud of my uncle, he’s finally getting the word out that he always wanted to do for all these years… he’s been a real good inspiration to me.”

Adam Lambert ‘Whataya Want from Me’ Video Premiere

The new Adam Lambert music video for “Whataya Want from Me” (co-written by Pink and Max Martin) premiered on MTV and VH1 on Friday morning. Instead of the over-the-top glam rocker we usually see, Adam Lambert appears in the new video as an emotionally raw and vulnerable young man torn between public and private life.

In the new “Whataya Want from Me” video from For Your Entertainment, Adam Lambert leaves behind the glam rock persona and the overt sexuality, instead taking a much more serious and introspective tone. The video, filmed with a gray, industrial feel, focuses the attention on Lambert’s outstanding vocals, rather than his outrageous looks – which we feel is a good move.

Plus, Adam Lambert is kind of even hotter when he just looks like a sort of normal guy. Not that we want him to give up the glitter and five layers of eyeliner though, certainly not!

American Idol ‘Pants on the Ground’ Remix and More!

General Larry Platt may not have gotten a golden ticket to Hollywood this week on American Idol, but his “Pants on the Ground” audition video has certainly launched him into celebrity status on the Internet. Platt’s catchy original song and amusing performance has already spawned several “Pants on the Ground” remix tributes. (Our favorite so far is this one.)

General Larry Platt told Access Atlanta he was inspired to write the song when he saw a guy walking down the street carrying a baby with his pants hanging nearly to his knees. “He had his underwear showing,” Platt said. “He was being disrespectful so I wanted to embarrass him.” So he made up the “Pants on the Ground” rap on the spot. “He rolled his eyes and pulled his pants up a little bit,” Platt said.

In addition to the “Pants on the Ground” remixes spawning all over (check out a list here), it seems even the celebrities are starting to get in on General Platt’s 15 minutes of Internet fame. Our favorite tribute to the American Idol contestant so far comes from none other than Jimmy Fallon.

In tribute to General Larry Platt’s “Pants on the Ground” audition earlier this week, Jimmy Fallon took to the stage on his show to perform his own rendition of the song – while acting the part of singer/songwriter Neil Young.

Check out the entirely entertaining clip below:

General Larry Platt will appear on The View, Monday, January 18 to talk about his American Idol audition experience and resulting Internet fame.

Geeks Go Wild: Star Wars Strippers Video!

We couldn’t resist posting this little jewel for all those Star Wars lovers out there. This Star Wars strippers video is really funnier than it is hot, but we hope you’ll find it entertaining. We certainly did!

Applause especially goes to Darth Vader, who made us snort and choke on our morning coffee.

The Star Wars burlesque show video features lovely ladies dressed as everything from stormtroopers to Jabba the Hut stripping down and showing off their goods. (Note: No actual nudity in this video, though maybe still NSFW.)

Check it out and enjoy a nice LOL to brighten up your day!

American Idol ‘Pants on the Ground’ Video

The breakout star on Wednesday night’s American Idol wasn’t the chick with the awesome voice, or the cute boy with High School Musical good looks. No, it was General Larry Platt‘s “Pants on the Ground” video that has stormed the Net following his American Idol audition.

The weird, but amusingly entertaining original rap performance by 62-year-old General Larry Platt is already an Internet sensation, even though he didn’t get a golden ticket to Hollywood. Just check out these lyrics and you’ll get the picture:

Lookin’ like a fool with ya pants on the ground.
With da gold in ya mouth, hat turned sideways
Pants hit the ground, ya call yourself a cool cat
Lookin’ like a fool, walking downtown
With ya pants on the ground
Git it up
Hey!

Now that you have read it, give it a watch and listen. Oh, and btw, Plant – a veteran civil rights activist – plans on releasing the song as a single.

Pat Robertson Haiti Comments Leave White House Advisor Speechless

TV evangelist Pat Robertson climbed aboard the crazy train once again on Wednesday when he basically blamed the massive 7.0 Haiti earthquake on a Haitian “pact with the devil.” Let’s not forget, this is the same whack-job who linked Hurricane Katrina to abortion and the attack on 9/11 to “the gays” and “the feminists”.

“Something happened a long time ago in Haiti,” Robertson opined on the Christian Broadcasting Network’s 700 Club on Wednesday. “They got together and swore a pact to the Devil.”

“They said, ‘We will serve you if you get us free from the French.’ True story. And so, the Devil said, ‘OK, it’s a deal.’ And they kicked the French out,” he went on. “You know, the Haitians revolted and got themselves free. But ever since, they have been cursed by one thing after another,” Robertson said.

Robertson’s tasteless and seemingly insane comments on the Haitian earthquake have left no few people furious, including the Haitian ambassador, Raymond Joseph. He quite snarkily responded by saying “what pact the Haitians made with the Devil, has helped the United States become what it is.”

White House adviser Valerie Jarrett said on Good Morning America she was simply left “kind of speechless” by Robertson’s demented remarks. “That’s not the kind of attitude that expresses the spirit of the president or the American people, so I thought it was a pretty stunning comment to make.”

We just wonder when someone is finally going to gift Pat Robertson with a nice, snug straight-jacket and haul him off for a long (hopefully permanent) stay in crazy town.
