We finally made it to the last round of the Dancing With the Stars 2013 finale! After one last elimination on Monday, we were left with just three remaining pairs to battle it out for the Mirror Ball Trophy on Tuesday night. We made our prediction about who we though should be the one to win Dancing With the Stars 17 but with the voters this year, who knew exactly what might happen!
There was no question that Corbin Bleu and Karina Smirnoff deserve to be in the DWTS 17 finale. In fact, we’d hazard to say that of all the celebrities left in the competition, Corbin deserved to be the Dancing With the stars 17 winner. We don’t even care that he kind of came into the competition with a serious advantage as someone with previous dance training. He turned some of out the best dances on the floor this season and that’s what counts.
Of the other two remaining couples, we were certainly cheering for Amber Riley and Derek Hough just as much for Corbin and Karina, even though they went through a bit of a rough period for a few weeks due to injuries. We honestly would have been just as happy for this pair to win, even if we thought Corbin was a slightly better dancer.
While we loved Jack Osbourne and Cheryl Burke, we don’t think they should have even made it to the finale over other, better pairs this season. Jack’s story was great and he showed a lot of improvement, but he just wasn’t in the same class as Amber or Corbin. We didn’t think Jack and Cheryl stood a chance of winning even though we really enjoyed watching them, no matter how likable Jack has been all season and how much he’s improved.
Instead, we thought the celebrity who would be declared as the one who won Dancing With the Stars 2013 Tuesday night would be… Amber Riley and Derek Hough. Okay, so we said we thought Corbin should win, but that doesn’t mean we think he would win. So were we right about who would win or were we dead wrong? The official results are in and here they are!
3rd Place: Jack Osbourne and Cheryl Burke
2nd Place: Corbin Bleu and Karina Smirnoff
1st Place: Amber Riley and Derek Hough!
