We are the first to admit we aren’t huge fans of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West but you have to admire the man’s style when he proposed to his new baby momma. In the Kimye engagement video shot by YouTube co-founder Chad Hurley, it’s obvious this is a man who does nothing at all halfway.
For the big Kim Kardashian proposal, Kanye West rented out an entire AT&T Giants Park baseball stadium at a cost of $35k. The video, shot with Hurley’s new video app MixBit, shows a full orchestra lined up on the field playing one of Kim’s favorite songs — Lana Del Rey’s “Young and Beautiful.”
Flaming torches light up the night as Kanye gets down on one knee and proposes to the mother of his 4-month-old baby girl North West. Behind the orchestra, a giant “PLEEEASE MARRY MEEE!!!” sign flashed on the scoreboard. After Kim giddily said yes, friends and family rushed out onto the field to celebrate.
Whether you love ‘em or hate ‘em, that’s certainly the kind of proposal everyone wishes they could afford to be that memorable. Although… we have to say that a baseball field wouldn’t be our first choice for a “romantic” wedding proposal. Maybe the Eiffel Tower or on a private yacht in the Mediterranean… But who knows, maybe Kim gets hot over the feeling of well-groomed turf under her 8-inch heels.
