Randy Travis Dead Rumor Not True, Singer Showing Signs of Improvement

Although he is suffering from congestive heart failure, the Randy Travis dead rumor going around on Twitter and Facebook is not true. The singer is still in critical condition at this time but hospital doctors say the country music star is showing signs of improvement. So no, Randy Travis is not dead but he’s a very lucky man that he received medical help before his illness may have taken a fatal turn.

Randy Travis was admitted to the Baylor Medical Center on Sunday suffering from viral cardiomyopathy — a viral infection that had invaded his heart muscle. He underwent surgery to install a heart pump to assist in blood flow and was transferred to Baylor’s Heart Hospital in Plano. Since the procedure, Travis’ condition has been improving, according to staff at Baylor.

“His condition has stabilized, and he has shown signs of improvement,” Dr. Michael Mack said in a press statement.”On behalf of his Mr. Travis’ family, friends and associates, we would like to express our extreme gratitude for the overwhelming affection and support that Mr. Travis has received.”

Randy Travis’ heart issues are a serious problem but don’t count him out yet. Travis has traveled a tough road the past few years, getting in trouble with the law repeatedly over alcohol-fueled incidents of public intoxication and DUI. However, he’d recently been working to make a comeback and get himself clean. If anyone’s a fighter, it’s Randy Travis. We wish him a speedy recovery!
