X Factor contestant Danyl Johnson might just be the next Susan Boyle – if anyone really wants to claim that honor. Danyl Johnson, a schoolteacher from England, wowed the audience with his audition on X Factor – even eliciting a huge compliment from hardcore skeptic Simon Cowell with his vocal prowess.
Danyl Johnson is a contestant on the British music competition show X-Factor, better known as the Brit version of American Idol. Now the Danyl Johnson video has gone viral, garnering the 27 year-old singer a new legion of fans from the Internet. His first performance on the show, singing The Beatles‘ “A Little Help From My Friends” blew away the audience and had judges gushing over his vocal talent. No doubt it didn’t hurt that Danyl Johnson is pretty cute too.
Notoriously sour judge Simon Cowell actually grinned like an idiot through the whole performance – shocking! And then, omg, Cowell actually gave Johnson a standing ovation after his performance. Watch the Danyl Johnson video for yourself and let us know what you think. Is he the next Susan Boyle-style singing sensation?
Danyl Johnson isn’t afraid to use his good looks to sway the judges to his side either. Not only does he flirt with the female judges with winks and saucy looks during his performance, he reportedly he thinks ALL the X-Factor judges are hotties, according to Mirror.co.uk. Yes, that includes Simon Cowell. Bisexual Danyl Johnson apparently wouldn’t mind taking any of them home for a night of fun, though he admits he’d probably most go for “Dannii [Minogue] because she’s got a great personality.”
Former American Idol judge Paula Abdul announced the details of her newest gig via her Twitter feed Monday night. Abdul has signed on to host the VH1 Divas live concert in September.
“Hi guys! im really excited 2 announce ill b hosting this year’s “Vh1 Divas”!The show will be live on Sept 17th @ 9 pm EST,” Paula Abdul tweeted Monday evening. “This year’s VH1 Divas show will honor Adele, Kelly Clarkson, Jordin Sparks, Leona Lewis and Miley Cyrus– I am so excited!!” (Ouch – that’s enough exclamation marks Paula!)
Not sure I’d be all that excited about being forced to hang out with Miley Cyrus, but glad to hear Paula has a new job – at least temporarily. Really, Paula Abdul should just fire her PR reps since Twitter now seems to be her main way of communicating her business. First she ditches American Idol via Twitter, now she announces her new job the same way. Though I don’t know if we really need all that much information about her dog Tulip’s various medical issues…
Unless the American Idol powers-that-be decide to cough up the cash and try to lure Miss Paula back in, AI is not going to be nearly as entertaining next time around. Paula Abdul’s rambling, nearly incomprehensible commentary is at least half the fun of the show!
The death of Michael Jackson has been ruled a homicide, the Los Angeles County coroner has concluded. Michael Jackson’s personal physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, is currently the target of a manslaughter investigation in the case. Could Dr. Murray now be facing at least second degree murder charges? It’s doubtful the good doctor actually wanted to murder Michael Jackson, but certainly he had to be aware he was treading on very dangerous ground with all the powerful drugs he was pumping into him.
Michael Jackson was murdered. That’s the latest from the Los Angeles County coroner’s office on Monday, according to an unidentified police official who reportedly leaked information to the Associated Press.
Michael Jackson allegedly died from a combination of the powerful anesthetic propofol and at least two other sedatives administered just hours before his death, according to the Los Angeles Times. Court documents unsealed in Houston on Monday stated Michael Jackson had “lethal levels” of propofol in his system at the time of his death.
Dr. Conrad Murray, who was working as Michael Jackson’s personal physician, has admitted to police he gave the singer propofol before his collapse. According to court documents, Murray said he gave 50 milligrams of propofol to Michael Jackson almost every night to help him sleep, along with doses of other sedatives. Murray stated he had been treating Michael Jackson for about six weeks for insomnia. Propofol is an extremely powerful sedative normally only administered in hospitals to patients hooked up to heart and breathing monitors.
The official results of Michael Jackson’s autopsy have not yet been released. The Los Angeles County Coroner’s office has issued a statement to the press saying they currently “have no comment on the story that is circulating.”
Despite a titillating announcement by new Twilight cast member Boo Boo Stewart that a fifth Twilight film is in the works, fans shouldn’t hold their breath.
Boo Boo Stewart (no relation to Kristin Stewart) told Access Hollywood he had been signed on to do three Twilight films as teenage werewolf Seth Clearwater. If you count Eclipse and Breaking Dawn as two… well, that would imply either the final Twilight book would be split in two, or a totally new film is planned.
Unfortunately, according to RadarOnline.com, Boo Boo Stewart may just be confused. Unidentified sources reportedly told the site “it is absolutely not true” a fifth Twilight film is forthcoming at this time.
Twilight author Stephanie Meyer has reportedly expressed interest in having the final book, Breaking Dawn, split into two films – along the lines of what’s being done with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. So you never know, Boo Boo might just have a bit of clairvoyance in addition to his newly found werewolf skills.
A $25,000 reward is being offered by the U.S. Marshals Service for information leading to the arrest of Jasmine Fiore murder suspect Ryan Alexander Jenkins. Ryan Jenkins, a reality TV contestant on Megan Wants a Millionaire and I Love Money 3, is suspected of killing Jasmine Fiore, mutilating her body and dumping it in a trash bin.
Jasmine Fiore, who briefly worked for Playboy (though she did not appear in the magazine), was so badly mutilated that she had to be identified by the serial number on her breast implants.
32 year-old Ryan Alexander Jenkins is still on the run and the object of a massive manhunt by U.S. and Canadian authorities. Jenkins is thought to have crossed from the U.S. to Canada on Wednesday. The former Megan Wants a Millionaire contestant’s SUV and empty boat trailer were found abandoned at a marina in Blaine, WA.
Ryan Alexander Jenkins and 28 year-old former Playboy model Jasmine Fiore were married in March – a wedding that was quickly annulled in May. Jasmine Fiore filed a police report against her former husband in June accusing him of domestic violence. He has yet to be tried on those charges.
VH1 cancelled airings of the reality dating show Megan Wants a Millionaire earlier this week. Taping for the show ended in early March. Ryan Jenkins and Jasmine Fiore reportedly met later that month at a Las Vegas casino. Jenkins also appeared in the as yet unaired reality show I Love Money 3. VH1 has not released any official information on whether that series will be cancelled as well.
Two radio DJs in Minneapolis obviously got tired of their day jobs, because they accused former NBA star Magic Johnson of “faking AIDS” on the air! What a couple of dumbasses! First of all, Magic has said he is HIV positive, not that he has AIDS. Second of all, he’s big enough to pound you into the dirt like a fencepost.
The brainiacs, Chris Baker and Langdon Perry of KTLA, basically said Magic faked his illness for attention, and so he could retire from the NBA at age 32. NOT that they said it to get attention. Let’s hope these clowns aren’t registered to vote! ACORN!
